Temporary, dedicated bus-only lanes along MD 355 (Rockville Pike/Wisconsin Ave) will help customers get to their destinations faster in Montgomery County. This past weekend, I joined @MDhumanities and @mkorman for the first public showcase of National History Day projects by Maryland students! I appreciate the work MD Humanities does to work with our schools to organize and encourage important statewide projects like this one.

As part of the annual budget, the Maryland Department of Environment must provide monthly status reports on the Potomac Interceptor breach. The breach is DC Water’s responsibility, but still Maryland’s problem. You can read the first report here: tinyurl.com/ybnyu8t2

Traffic ADVISORY - Goldsboro Road between MacArthur Boulevard and Massachusetts Avenue, large tree down blocks road, wires down, utility poles damaged, Pepco and police on scene, road closed/blocked

If you are still holding on to your mail-in ballot, do not forget to return it to a drop box by 8pm tomorrow (Tues). If you return by postal mail, it has to be postmarked on or before tomorrow. But the safest option is to use a drop box. Here are some drop boxes in and around D16

Saturday 06/13/26 from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm, there will be a mobile crane operation at 5602 Wisconsin Avenue. There will be a SB single lane closure on Wisconsin Avenue between Somerset Terrace and Dorset Avenue.

More information about the Red Line work, temporary bus lanes, and bus bridges is available here: wmata.com/initiatives/pl… Although the temporary bus lanes have been in the works for a while, no advance notice was provided that they would be painted last night.

The temporary bus lanes painted on Wisconsin Avenue/355 to facilitate bus bridges during the Red Line summer shutdown are not currently in effect. Car traffic may continue to use those lanes. Dynamic message boards will indicate when they go into effect in July.
