@readthebrooks @milfordkristen It didn’t break but the upholstery fully ripped off 😂😂 I think we recycled it. And then @Andy_Ed_Brown, Greg and I went to pick up another colleague’s couch, with Greg in the back of the uhaul. He pretended we were coyotes kidnapping him in fluent Spanish the whole way.

Greg’s collages were always the best. He made this for me when I was feeling sad one day. Believe it or not, before I moved out, and he got Jake The Dog, his best pet friends were my two girls. Laughing now about how much shit I gave him for “replacing” the cats with a dog.

Do yourselves a favor: Take abundant photos and videos of, for and around people you love. Do it frequently, randomly, deliberately. Do it for the big stuff. Do it for the little stuff. Do it for the stupid stuff. Do it on nights out. Do it on nights in. You’re so loved, Greg.

Greg brought so much trust, a lot of his wonderful food, and even more laughter to our friendship. So many people are missing him today, esp. in his beloved journalism community, me among them. RIP to a real one.

Greg didn’t do anything halfway. Writing a story, cooking a meal — he went all out, always. His generosity, sense of humor and enthusiasm were infectious, and they were such a gift. I miss you, Greg, and I’m so grateful to have known you. latimes.com/obituaries/sto…

As it happens, I was there when the love between Greg and this “moo cow” began. We fairly recklessly adopted him into our apartment. Those were the best of times.

What we learned: Few countries are actively growing their nuclear power capacity, but when you look at China, you see a major exception.
