Undergrad, who clearly should have been a heavy favorite, wins as the overlay of the year (maybe the century) at 4-1 after a huge bet came in on Patience N Grace. Also a smaller bet came in on Three Nines Fine. Nearly $300k in the win pool on this first race.

Still no news about Richard Mullen's condition after he was unshipped from Charlie Appleby's short-priced favourite Rebel's Romance in the Bowling Green Stakes at Saratoga. He was being attended to by the medical team right after the event. Fingers crossed good news comes soon.

@AKBets87 @tony_calvin @itvracing Fox sports American day at the races is the gold standard of tv racing, everything is betting focused and out of five/six presenters and hosts only one jockey!

I know @tony_calvin has said it a million times but @itvracing could secure an immediate quick win by revamping its betting coverage. The ‘show prices’ they’ve had on screen minutes before the off have been consistently wrong this week and you’d think that’s a simple thing to get right. Some too short. Some too long. We’ve had the main presenter give off the impression that he’s paid by the word by World Pool all week. Honestly nobody gives a fuck. It’s for lads in Hong Kong that can’t get a fixed odds bet. We were blessed with McCririck solely because he understood the intricacies of betting. Needs to be somebody in the studio with a comprehensive knowledge of betting. That’s miles more important than 6 people knowing when a horse looks good in its coat or what a jockey about to load into the stalls thinks. Love him or hate him Calvin would be great at accurately reflecting the relevance of where the money is moving the market in the minutes before the off.

Both Nova Rags (4/1) and Big Engine (11/1) represent good value in Race 6 at Aqueduct tonight. They should both go off a fair bit shorter, and have winning chances given the likely fast pace.

@JamesStevens180 I don’t get the whole outrage over the prices at chelthenham whether tickets or drinks.it’s the biggest event of the year, the prices are obviously going to be expensive..tickets for a top premier league game would be around 100 pounds.

Interesting difference - the price of a pint of Guinness at Cheltenham Racecourse’s sporting events: 🔴 £6.00 - World Grand Prix Snooker (this week) 🏇 £7.50 - All racedays this season No racecourse in 🇬🇧 or 🇮🇪 charge more for a pint than Cheltenham - cheapest beer costs £7.40.
