The paperback edition of my book is being featured at the Boydell & Brewer booth at the RSA this year, with a special discount! So proud of all the hard work that went into this over the years #catherineofaragon #tudors

Are there still some Catherine of Aragon experts in the room? #twitterstorians I have a very specific question about her use of cipher in 1507 …

June is Queenship month on Not Just the Tudors. To kick things off, Suzannah Lipscomb talks to Michelle Beer about the Queens Consort - the wives of Kings so well known to us - who were more powerful than we might think: podfollow.com/not-just-the-t… @sixteenthCgirl @mlbeer2

Does anyone know of academic works on the childbirth practices for Yorkist/Tudor queens or elite women? Trying to work out how long it was standard to be lying in after childbirth #twitterstorians #queenship

@sixteenthCgirl Thanks! It seemed especially relevant when discussing the ongoing familial connections these women maintained. Not to mention how confusing the repeat names can be!

@mlbeer2 Quietly impressed by your decision to refer to married women of the Tudor court with both maiden and married names, e.g. Lady Anne Stafford Hastings or Katherine Stafford Neville, countess of Westmorland. I've been wondering how to resolve this myself, and this inspires.

Researching Margaret Tudor's childbearing history. I'm surprised that so little space is usually dedicated to M's confinements and wondering if this bit in particular 👇 is based on a primary source? Perhaps @DrHelenNewsome knows?

@DrHelenNewsome @SylviaBSo Margaret does disappear from Court for longer than expected after her first childbirth, and James's pilgrimage indicates there was some complications

Lolz I am reading about Katherine Willoughby/Brandon, Duchess of Suffolk (who is awesome btw). She seems to have had a temper: in a sermon to her, Hugh Latimer said that outspoken women should 'keep their tongues in better order'. Nah I'm good.
