@mlinde007 @Oceansoul921 You don’t need to wasteland anything. You can save the wasteland for later. If you daze with 1 blue floating they have the choice of either letting OBM get countered or gambling with the flooded strand. Either way is not bad for you.

Have to get this off my chest. When Will solves nearly impossible problem and Prof. Lambeau says I see you used Maclaurin here and he goes I don't know what you call it. Are we supposed to believe that Will does not know what it is (which I learned in HS B/C calc)? Like cmon

@JoeyPascoMTG I played this deck (similar to what you mentioned to a 2nd play finish in GP Atlanta in 2003):

Back in summer 2003 (just before the release of Mirrodin) there was a semi-popular Standard (Type 2?) midrange/control Mono White deck featuring Exalted Angel and Temple of the False God. Does anyone else remember this? I'm having trouble finding any remnants of it online 😕

Annual St. Paddy’s old school event where everyone plays and gets hammered - it is great. Need to find a tundra, but running the boring old “deck.”

3-1 draft 1. Not bad considering the first time I played the format was Friday.

Packers winning this game makes me feel like we have a R1 loss to a healthy Rams team. I know I am a pessimist.

@kaibudde @rhoaen Yea there are some real bangers in there. The one I get made fun of the most is "my friend and I worked on the deck for like 4 hours" in the context that I thought it was a lot of effort.

@lsv @ajlvi this does give me some complaint equity though - do draws interrupt these streaks, @ajlvi ? if you just count wins and skip draws here for example, i'm at 15. if you do no-loss counting, that gets me to 18 matches there.

Worked on the win streaks page today and discovered that my script was only set up to allow one streak per player. Whoops. If you filter for pro matches only (Elo 2.0 upgrade!) now you correctly see that @lsv has the longest *two* streaks of wins ever. o_o

@brock_parker Posting your chip count would be better than making me do math.

@halfie44 Nah - we are from the same area, so we had played numerous times before. I think anyone would have been a little salty given the draw, but maybe since we were friendly he handled it with grace.

@mlinde007 So I have one question as the camera pans aways as Mike starts talking - did he have a little rant at you about the game after aka was he a little salty 👀 it didnt feel like he was handling his fate very well when it was clear he was dead

Its mind blowing to me that Mike Long used to sit like this to try to intimidate his opponent’s and it gets even funnier when he loses the game and Matt Linde pokes fun by saying his list runs 2 dark ritual (Mike was down on black mana at the point) #mtghistory
