How are we Zimbabweans acting like everything is normal after our President left the country unannounced in the middle of the night and without being sent off by his Vice Presidents? And all this coming after President Ramaphosa also undertook an inexplicable emergency visit to Zimbabwe last weekend. Even more concerning is the acting President has not spoken to the nation to give us clarity.
Nothing is normal about what is happening in Zimbabwe. So it’s clear that either a power transition is happening or the President is not well. But if the President wasn’t well, the nation should be told. Something huge is going on or we no longer have a sane government.

Legal heavyweight and public intellectual @ChinamasaPA with over 40 years of experience in the legal profession (as a legal practitioner, Attorney General, public servant, Minister of Justice, etc) who also serves as the ZANU PF Treasurer-General shed more light on the Constitutional Amendment Bill No. 3.
He made it clear that there is no need for a referendum because this bill does not seek to amend the Bill of Rights, Chapter 16, and Section 328 of the Constitution.
This implies that conducting a referendum would actually transgress the intrinsic provisions of the Constitution.
As such, this bill must simply be adopted by a 2/3 majority by Parliament.
When fine, intellectual heavyweights and outstanding lawyers like Cde Chinamasa speak, we must listen attentively.

Our UZ Chapter Chairperson today challenged the manner in which the regime in Harare is trying to impose #CAB3 on the people during a public lecture on the bill at UZ.
Despite attempts to silence him by questionable characters, he insisted that any process without a referendum is illegal, null and void. He also used the platform to condemn the absence of a Student Representative Council at UZ for over three years now. Good afternoon citizens. My heart is bleeding. There is a sister who is mentally unwell in Bulawayo CBD. I've seen her four times now. I noticed that her hand is swollen and its only today that I took a closer look. Apparently she has a plaster on her arm. Seems it is overdue to be removed or something. I also noticed that its attracting flies meaning its an infection.
So I was wondering if there are any doctors and well_wishers who are able to assist this lady. How much is consultation, some medication maybe and to see what's needed. Maybe we can crowd fund so that she gets help.
What saddens me is that we don't have social welfare that assists the vulnerable, the disabled, the mentally ill, orphans and the old age. Its breaks my heart that our government is busy with Constitution ammendment, buying of the state of the art cars when there is no social security.
What kind of a society are we when we neglect our people like this? How many others are there out there facing the same predicament?
Please to any doctor seeing this please reach out to me. Then we will take it from there to make sure our sister gets help. She is always by Bulawayo centre or by Farm and city next to Haddon and sly.

That's the necessary context and relevant detail. Lawyers are indeed useful but not in every instance of law making. It's trite that Members of Parliament are not by definition professional lawyers; but they're lawmakers. Understanding this distinction is very important in a constitutional democracy!
