A federal judge ordered this administration to return people it had unlawfully deported. Yet, Trump and his unconstitutional administration defied it. A second judge weighed in. They defied it again. As a strong supporter of school choice, I believe parents — not zip codes, teacher unions, or government — must have the freedom to choose the educational environment that best serves their children. Charter schools expand opportunity, create pathways for student success, and give families options where traditional systems fail to deliver results; just look at Baltimore City.   National Charter Schools Week is an opportunity to recognize that every child deserves the opportunity to succeed, and we must continue fighting to give families greater educational choice.

There are some hard truths here, and every Democrat needs to watch this segment. African Americans are being targeted because we are the most consistent Democratic voting bloc. White voters have not voted majority Democratic since the passage of the Civil Rights Act more than 50 years ago. The GOP knows this. We have to start speaking with one voice about court reform. Today, more white folks need to be willing to call this out for what it is: white supremacy in action.
