UPDATE: reportedly ALL Dems were stripped of committees… but white male house Dems are still listed. Only Black reps & women removed. Weird! Sexton + TN House Republicans not beating the “it’s about race” allegations. (P.S. It’s all standing committees. We have screenshots.)

NEW: The White House has been quietly meeting with leaders from the DOJ, DHS and USPS to advance plans to build a national voter database ahead of the 2026 midterms. The discussions stem from Trump's recent order targeting mail-in voting, which officials are reportedly finding ways to implement. democracydocket.com/news-alerts/re…

I quoted the Virginia Constitution and Republicans are losing their minds.🤯 Jonathan Turley suggested I am a "radical" and "Jacobian" for literally quoting the Virginia Constitution's Bill of Rights.😂

BREAKING: Israel just dropped bombs on a medical center in Qsaibeh, South Lebanon. Not a battlefield. Not a weapons depot. A medical center. Israel is hunting and killing the people who save lives. This is a war crime and a crime against humanity.

THIS SATURDAY. ALL ROADS LEAD TO THE SOUTH. The racist gerrymandering we’re seeing across the South was pushed through by politicians protecting power, not by the people. Most of these maps were never approved by voters because they knew the public would reject them. That’s why this matters. Boost every post. Share every livestream. Flood the timeline. Make noise. Link in 🧵 for additional event locations nationwide.

A federal judge ordered this administration to return people it had unlawfully deported. Yet, Trump and his unconstitutional administration defied it. A second judge weighed in. They defied it again. When a president treats court orders as optional, we are not in a constitutional democracy anymore. The threat of authoritarianism is more present than ever. And naming that clearly, without flinching, is the first step to fighting it.

Texas MAGA Gov Abbot forced a city to cancel an event because the event was held by Americans who are Muslim. Yes, seriously. Its the 4th time he's done this. Corporate media is ignoring it. Saadia Mirza, State Director for Let's Address Texas reports: letsaddresstexas.substack.com/p/abbott-held-…

So the Tennessee Speaker of the House just took Justin Jones off his committees because he dared to burn the confederate flag. The Republicans love worshiping those traitors (they lost BIG). This is what deep HATRED for our country looks like. Keep going, Justin!

Horrifying. Israel bombed a residential building in Toul, South Lebanon. Paramedics rushed inside to save civilians trapped under the rubble. Israel waited for them to enter. Then dropped another bomb on them. Israel is hunting down and assassinating medical rescuers.

There are children in this country who don't know where their parents are tonight. Not because their parents did anything wrong. Because ICE took them. I've seen the photos. I've talked to the families. This is state-sanctioned terror. Full stop.

Billionaires are using a loophole to avoid Medicare taxes. Closing it — and eliminating other ways around the tax for wealthy business owners — could raise more than $250 billion over 10 years for the program. propublica.org/article/medica…

@RepAndyHarrisMD You can’t simultaneously vote against public education funding and then blame public schools for failing. Charter expansion doesn’t create new resources—it diverts them away from students who need the most support. That’s not school choice. That’s sorting by zip code.

As a strong supporter of school choice, I believe parents — not zip codes, teacher unions, or government — must have the freedom to choose the educational environment that best serves their children. Charter schools expand opportunity, create pathways for student success, and give families options where traditional systems fail to deliver results; just look at Baltimore City.   National Charter Schools Week is an opportunity to recognize that every child deserves the opportunity to succeed, and we must continue fighting to give families greater educational choice.
U.S. Department of Education@usedgov

Thanks to charter schools, families across the country have more options that meet their students’ unique educational needs. This week, we celebrate charter schools across the United States and the opportunities they create!

The NAACP has sued to block Tennessee’s rushed effort to dismantle the state’s lone majority-Black district. Instead of relying primarily on weakened federal voting rights protections, the NAACP’s lawsuit argues Tennessee Republicans violated their own state laws and constitution. bit.ly/4dfLPS0

Israel killed Maryam today in Saksakiyeh, South Lebanon. She was only 2 years old. They killed her mother too — Jana, 24 years old. A baby and her mother. This is what Israel’s bombs do. This is who they kill.

There are some hard truths here, and every Democrat needs to watch this segment. African Americans are being targeted because we are the most consistent Democratic voting bloc. White voters have not voted majority Democratic since the passage of the Civil Rights Act more than 50 years ago. The GOP knows this. We have to start speaking with one voice about court reform. Today, more white folks need to be willing to call this out for what it is: white supremacy in action.
