I played Babylonia for the first time this weekend and was shocked today to find out that it's actually not a 20 year old game like I thought. 😅

I've solved the Wordle for the past 520 days. 12 of them took me to the 6th attempt. Makes me wonder if there's a word I could possibly miss.

@StoicHamster I don't play in hard mode, but I'm sure if I did that sort of word would make me lose. I often use a word with completely fresh letters just to figure out which of the 4+ remaining options is correct.

@mmark40 I always hated the ones where you get to something like _LASH in 3 or 4 guesses. And then you have no choice (at least in hard mode) but to spend guesses randomly on FLASH, CLASH, SLASH until it's right. Always felt like that's when I'd lose.

I always love a good underdog.

@InternetsMagic I've always thought it would be cool to make a good Darkhawk deck, but I can never get something that is actually decent. This current iteration lets me do a turn 6 combo with Mystique like you're describing, and that's always fun.

Had to tweak my Patriot deck in response to increased Enchantress use after the buff. Added Goose, ditched Ultron and some no-ability cards for Bast/Sinister/Brood. So far I think it's just as good and more resistant to Killmonger and Enchantress.

The biggest giveaway that I'm not a kid anymore is that I can eat black jellybeans.

@Mattyleg1 I actually use "gonna" quite a bit in writing (and tweets), though I avoid it in anything professional or formal. Occasionally, after writing it, I wonder if others might think it looks ridiculous or, worse, don't even know what it's short for.

@apbenven Everyone is just a regular person. They all are as prone to mistakes and BS as everyone else is. And they all just want to be valued.

Game publishers! Normalize paying designer royalties up front each print run. If you print (say) 10k copies, pay the royalty up front as though you were going to sell all 10k of those copies. Simpler, and shows confidence in your ability to successfully sell the game.
