@MarioNawfal Normal countries have police and prisons to keep bad guys away, but what do you do when the country itself is the criminal? There’s no police for countries. What is going to stop Israel from committing crime?

A short while ago, in full coordination with the local community of Debel in southern Lebanon, the damaged statue was replaced by IDF troops. The Northern Command worked to coordinate the replacement of the statue from the moment it received the report of the incident.
The IDF expresses deep regret over the incident, and is working to ensure that it does not happen again in the future.

Can someone please explain to me like I’m a child how a serious reporter can conduct a full interview about Lebanon without once mentioning Hezbollah?
I really don’t understand.

@marklevinshow The problem is Israel. Always has been, always will be.
English

The problem in Lebanon is Hezbollah. Israel’s fighting Hezbollah not the government or people of Lebanon. Hezbollah is more powerful than the government of Lebanon. Hezbollah is Iran. Israel has greatly weakened Hezbollah at great cost to its military. Still, Hezbollah continues to fire missiles into northern Israel. It seems to me the issue is Hezbollah — underming the Lebanese government that’s too weak to stop it, and firing missiles into Israel, that is on the brink of destroying it.

@fmakhzoumi This negotiation better lead to FULL Israeli withdrawal from Lebanese territory.

There is a way out of this despair, and it begins tomorrow in Washington.
Lebanon’s hope lies in ending the illusion that peace and progress are possible while weapons remain outside the state. The world must stand clearly with Lebanon: to end external domination and ensure that arms are held only by the state.
Lebanon is not condemned to its fate. What we face is not destiny, but the result of years of coercion and intimidation. The era of fear is over—we will no longer accept the language of force or policies that weaken the state from within.
This is a moment for courage and clear decisions: sovereignty, one law, and the right of every citizen to live in safety and dignity. There is another path, one of recovery, stability, and strong institutions.
We will not yield to fear. Lebanon is stronger. The choice is ours, and the time is now.

⚡️🇮🇱🇱🇧JUST IN: Israel’s Amb. to UN Danny Danon regarding strikes on Lebanon which killed at least 357 people:
Reporter: by hitting these civilian areas, you've breached international law, you've breached humanitarian law.
Dannon: You're absolutely wrong. First of all, Hezbollah is targeting civilians in Israel, period. So we have the right to defend ourselves.

@samanthaettus Hezbollah was created to resist against Israeli aggression. Literally the only reason

Hezbollah was founded with one goal: the destruction of Israel and the killing of Jews worldwide. For over four decades Lebanon allowed Iran to build a terrorist army on its soil, and the world looked away. Now that Israel is dismantling it, suddenly everyone has discovered civilian suffering.
Share the truth.

@Zoya_Fakhoury Hezbollah would leave Israel alone if it left Lebanon alone but sadly that’s not the case. They have their eyes on southern Lebanon with or without a ceasefire.

Like I said hezbollah would rather burn the entire country to the ground than make peace with its neighbor. Unfortunately you can’t cohabitate with people like this. Lebanon has been through enough, these people do not represent us.
