So many crypto projects

AI WILL AMPLIFY THE BEST PMs AND ELIMINATE THE REST I was a PM for two decades. I’ve found no-code apps to be an incredibly satisfying and uplifting experience in making hypotheses more tangible. So much of my 20+ years in product would have been so different if those tools had been available then. I believe that the PM role will be utterly transformed by AI. The top X% of PMs will be supercharged, the product development process will be greatly streamlined and sped up, and users / customers will get better products as a result. The other (100-X)% who are essentially project managers / artifact collators, will be rendered unnecessary. I also believe that AI will shrink the number of PMs you need as a product scales. Hopefully smaller product orgs ensure that the truly great product people stay ICs longer and continue to find motivation / gratification in shipping fast and well, vs being forced to manage a large and ever growing org machine. Every company needs PMs who have excellent taste and judgement, who act from first principles to articulate and prioritize the highest priority customer problems, who empower the entire team to brainstorm and stack rank solutions to these problems, and who then use efficient technique to prototype and test these hypotheses with live customers. These are the skills that matter in PMs, not writing PRDs that quickly go stale and that nobody reads or running standups that could just be better run with AI. And this is what AI will amplify. PS: As someone who’s written and given feedback on more PRDs over the years than I can count, it’s truly alarming to think how "loss-y" / low-resolution a PRD is. So much (most of the?) relevant info and ideas crop up AFTER it's written / stamped / approved, and yet almost none of that gets incorporated (or stays in comments, parsing through which is its own art form). The knowledge files that the no-code apps + meeting transcriptions can produce based on live chats are so much better than calcified PRDs.

@AhmedSoliman Regarding the tech sector, collaboration tools at work are driven by employee preference, and employees are usually driven by what they experienced; Notion and Atlassian always win. Teams is a different story because MS already have distribution channel with enterprises

Sad to see Meta sunsetting Workplace. It’s been the best collaboration tool I’ve ever seen. Nothing even comes close to the engagement and the life it brought to the organisation.
