As with all Jon’s reviews this is an incredibly insightful and detailed look at the score to #ProjectHailMary.. 👇

@FrankYan2 Yeah, no. Both of them ranked lower than 700th in my annual rankings. Sirât was appalling.

@TheKevinDalton I mean, I could post literally thousands of photos of California that show lovely clean neighborhoods, thriving businesses, happy people, gorgeous coastline scenery. That is also Gavin Newsom’s California. Nowhere is free of problems, but nowhere is entirely terrible too.
English

Honestly, thought this was a still image when I first started watching.
Nope, just a Tuesday morning in Gavin Newsom’s California

@svorchestras @simifilmfest @katiegaribaldi @composerjoe I just found out about this concert TODAY, despite me living in Simi and me being heavily involved in film music journalism. Anyway, just got tickets, and will be there Thursday! I would have loved to have helped spread the word if I had known sooner.

@TheFilmScorer I honestly don't understand that take. I have watched Social Network a few times and the score makes ZERO impact in context. It might as well not be there. I'm not talking about the album and whether you enjoy it; I'm talking about how, as actual dramatic score, it does nothing.

@P_Wing39 @Chrisleroux @grantkirkhope @united Because a lot of people can barely afford one seat, let alone two. Sometimes bigger people have to fly too.
English

Alas on my flight home I’m sitting next to a guy that has to be 400llbs + , I don’t fit in my seat so I’m having to stand in the kitchen area ….. I feel bad for him but I don’t know what to do ☹️@united
English

@grantkirkhope @united Annoying for everyone involved. I'm a big lad - not as big as him, as you know - but I often have tall person issues. At 6'5" I sometimes literally can't sit down in normal seats because my legs are too long. Believe me, it's embarassing being on the other side of this too.

@FilmScoreMoreYT So far, yes. The interface is mostly the same but there are significantly fewer bots, less spam, and it seems easier to block the Nazis.

@TheFilmScorer George S. Clinton is terrific, though. Really underrated composer.

My latest review in the Throwback Thirty series is of the score for the period romantic drama TOM & VIV, with music by Debbie Wiseman.

@TheFilmScorer Drew being Drew as usual. His list of film music bad takes, bad faith arguments, and uninformed opinions would fill a filing cabinet.

My latest film music review is of the new Film Fest Gent/Silva Screen compilation ELLIOT GOLDENTHAL: MUSIC FOR FILM, with music by Elliot Goldenthal, with Dirk Brossé conducting the Brussels Philharmonic Orchestra.

More uplifting wholesomeness. My latest film music review is of the score for the critically acclaimed animated adventure THE WILD ROBOT, with music by Kris Bowers.
