I genuinely hate to talk about officiating but what we are seeing take place in this game right now is malpractice. Ausar Thompson was just called for a heinous 5th foul. Disgustingly bad officiating.

I honestly believe the org does not care if they lose this year. They could bench Duren and win, but they’d rather play Duren and lose just for the sake of evaluation and leverage in contract negotiations.

Pistons were up 9 at the end of this fourth quarter. Their guys missed back to back to back to back open shots. They should’ve been able to close this game out.
Some really tough calls went against them at the end of the game.
But, you gotta close with a 9-point lead.

Ausar Thompson makes a spectacular defensive stop against Donovan Mitchell and gets bumped by Jarrett Allen with time on the clock, but you guessed it, Tony Brothers didn’t call a foul.
Thompson should have went to the free throw line with a chance to win the game.
