In early 2021, Marisa posted what she thought was a crazy idea in a Memphis Buy Nothing Facebook group: Could she use neighbors’ backyards and empty lots to grow flowers in exchange for bouquets and pollinator gardens?
The response blew her away — over 40 people immediately said yes.
That one humble post sparked a five-year journey of regenerative micro-farms scattered across Midtown, community workshops, and neighborly magic.
Today, Midtown Bramble & Bloom is a thriving brick-and-mortar florist on Young Avenue, selling locally grown flowers while making Memphis more beautiful, one backyard at a time. 🍃🌸

This is EJ’s Wine Shop & he was serving customers when a man told him that the two black men at the counter were carrying weapons & making gang signs at him while staring.The owner knows these men & knew it was a lie & that he was racist.The man went ballistic & had to be removed

This is the stuff you love to see. An officer was called out to a location because people saw a man sleeping in his car and assumed he must be drunk or up to no good.
The officer arrived through actually talking with the man to see what's going on, he saw what this guy has going on.
The guys wife lost her job so he has been pulling double shifts to keep the bills paid just pulled over for a bit to catch a nap.
Seeing that the guy is just trying to do some good, he got him a coffee to help pep him up so he can fully function for what sounds like a busy day.
Great job by this officer for seeing what was going on and going above and beyond.

This is an example of someone that really needs to just hang up the shield. Years of doing the job has brought him to a place where he is a danger to the public with how easily he becomes unhinged.
