Don’t get me wrong — I’ve never been to Tokyo and it’s on my bucket list, so I’d love to go to Tokyo and Breakpoint is a perfect reason. But Breakpoint is more than a chance to travel, it can make real impact in the country and industry with the right people involved. We shouldn’t underestimate the impact we as a digital city can have on a country — and the UK needs more momentum — so I’m happy to ‘meme the meme’ but today has been more about ‘fighting the fud’ because it felt like there was a risk the Solana community would get fear mongered away from joining the annual family reunion… and no-one should want that. Breakpoint 2026 will be at Olympia, London — let’s continue to make each breakpoint the best yet 🫡

The doom & gloom narrative surrounding Breakpoint taking place in London is understandable given that this is CT and one thing it's extremely good at is bringing FUD and everyone piggy backing on top of it. However, London remains undefeated as the capital of the capitals for multiple reasons. 1) To clear the misconception about safety, London has been ranked among the top safest cities to travel to in 2024, placing 8th on a global list ahead of cities like Tokyo, Berlin and Paris. 2) London is consistently ranked the number one tech hub in Europe, especially for fintech and AI, with over 3,500 fintech firms and tens of billions in investment over recent years. As a founder or investor, you simply cannot not be here. 3) In Q1 2025 the UK attracted more VC than France, Germany and Spain combined, with London as the main destination for early‑stage tech and web3 deals. 4) London has over 466,000 programmers and software developers, more than any other European city, providing a very deep pool of potential for Solana talent. 5) London hosts around 319 dedicated crypto companies and 756 wider blockchain firms, making it the core of the UK’s digital asset industry. 6) London is a multi national destination that serves the best pints, food catering cuisines from all over the world and has an incredible amount of entertainment facilities. This post might the hardest and the happiest I had to write since working in crypto. Some of you may already know, if you don't : We've been acquired by @JupiterExchange and are joining the most handsome crypto company today to create the best Portfolio experience on Solana : portfolio.jup.ag 1/ Why ? To understand why, we need to take a step back and look at what we achieved (or not) over the past 3 years. Olivier & I started @Sonarwatch as a personal tool first (track all our defi positions on Solana) and it quickly became a real tool for the community back then so we decided to go full time and full steam! This was March 2021 (Jupiter didn't even exist!). Since then, we did so many things : - NFT Creator tool (who remember ?) - History chart (R.I.P) - V1, V2, new V1, new V2, then V1 again. - Gone multi-chain - Launch API (best in class) - Points Checker - Airdrop Checker - Experiment blinks (little fail) - Launch validator - Did more than 200 integrations But yet we struggled to succeed money wise, the API product was profitable but not generating enough revenue ($~16k/month). We survived the bear and the years entirely because of the fundraise we did back in 2021 (few remember). 2025 was looking good on the revenue stream (we were planning on adding custom features for premium users) but it was a bet, we were not sure revenues would really take off. We were also struggling to have more stake on our Validator (people tend to stake for high APY validators, not on Validator from projects they use and I can't blame them). So while we really loved our products (and so or users), a Portfolio tracker is super hard to monetize and we felt stuck between a B2C product (dashboard) and a B2B product (API) where none of both was really taking off revenue wise. 2/ How it happened? So when @weremeow reached out, we first discussed about using our API into a Portfolio product for them (which was a giga bullish news for us because... well because Jupiter right). We always loved Jupiter products and team, we were their first users and fans, we always had great relation with them over the years, so being able to help them build a product using our data was a fantastic news for us! Then we kept chatting with Meow about plans for the future and stuff (this man got so many things going on but still handle to be available all the time), and at some point the acquisition idea started to emerge. We (SonarWatch team) had so many ideas we couldn't execute for the sake of money spent and available resources/time, joining Jupiter team would allow us to fully work on those very cool features and not worry about annoying stuff (bills, rpcs (duh), legal, etc..). On the other hand, Jupiter team got so many thing to work on but had this crazy portfolio idea they wanted to execute fast, so joining forces felt like the best option for both teams. Joining their team is an amazing news for us and we're SO FUCKING EXCITED. 3/ So, what's next for SonarWatch ? Well lads, what's next is an INCREDIBLE year (decade ? life ?) working with THE BEST team in crypto. We'll keep on shipping lightning fast integration of all Solana protocols. You'll see me a bit more on Jupiter Discord and even research and stuff. I'll keep posting here obviously because I really enjoy it and you guys always show massive support and send feedbacks.
