Malawi has been hosting a Joint Meeting of SADC Ministers of Agriculture & Food Security; Fisheries and Aquaculture from 10th May, 2022 to today. Minister Lowe and his Deputy Kambauwa have arrived at BICC for this meeting and together they have welcomed their fellow Ministers.

Today, the Ministry is awarding its officers who have worked outstandingly in the 2020-2021 farming season. The officers are expected to go away with assorted items including smartphones. The function is held at Crossroads tonight.

Today, The State President @LAZARUSCHAKWERA is in Ntcheu undertaking Crop inspection at Kambeta Village in Biriwiri EPA, Satumba, Baleni Village in Kandewu EPA and Bulla Village at Nsipe. He's going to have a development rally at Bawi ground in the same Ntcheu district.

MPs from different Parliamentary committees led by Ministers of Agriculture, Finance, Justice, Transport as well as Leader of the House are meeting in Livingstonia Beach for a sensitization of Seed Bill and Public Private Partnership Bill which are scheduled for tabling in Parly.

This afternoon, our Minister Lobin Lowe, MP, is unveiling the new tobacco buyer in Malawi trading as Protrade Group. Protrade Group is a local company owned by Malawians. @LAZARUSCHAKWERA @SKChilima

This Morning the Agriculture Minister Lowe is meeting Dr. Apollos Nwafor, VP, Policy and State Capability and his team from AGRA to discuss how Malawi can leverage on opportunities from AGRA to improve its agricultural sector and achieve Mw2063 vision easily @AGRAAlliance

Our PS Sandram Maweru together with his lieutenants is attending Mwapata's discussion on Options for redesigning the Affordable Inputs Program (AIP) for diversified agricultural growth. The discussion's consensus will form part of reforms the Ministry is undertaking on AIP. @Mwa
