I do not know how people with constant chronic pain manage to be pleasant.

A question I like to ask myself when I’m upset is “is it my feelings or my ego that is hurt?” The answer makes how I plan to approach the situation a lot clearer for me.

If you want to skip lunch, that's on you. But you better make sure your resident or student has an opportunity to eat. You need to be direct with students and tell them to go eat. Don't accept "no I'm good" because you're not eating and they think it might be a test.

Yes, everyone should learn #CPRandAED. But if we are going to ask people to perform such a brutal task, it’s imperative that we also provide them with the info and resources they need to process it mentally and emotionally. It’s traumatic and life changing.

This year was a lot. Graduated medical school & became a doctor. Started residency. Met some amazing people. Got diagnosed with heart failure. Hospitalised 3x. But survived that & more. Grateful to go into the next year with positive vibes despite being sick with a cold for nye.
