Message from the Family of Bilal Abdul Kareem:
"Yesterday was a beautiful day; we were able to visit Bilal Abdul Kareem.
Al hamdulillah! Apparently, our children weren't allowed; only four people were permitted on this visit, meaning just us, his wives. This made me, especially for Bilal personally, very sad and disappointing!
Nevertheless, we had a lovely visit, even if it only lasted half an hour! Bilal is okay, Alhamdulillah. All we can say. We were told by the government people, that his case is supposedly still under investigation and that he will soon be brought before an investigating judge! We, and especially Bilal, have been waiting for exactly three months today for a decision, a verdict from a judge!
Bilal was questioned once, and that was two months ago; nothing has happened since! We absolutely don't understand this, subhanAllah! We are now impatiently waiting for answers, answers for us as a family, and for Bilal's return to us!
Please make dua for us... May Allah hasten his release, may Allah grant us all patience in this difficult time, time that is being stolen from us, especially the children who are suffering greatly here, who aren't even allowed to see their father during visits now! This is called "dhulm"!
This picture of him shows him, by his work Masha'Allah, public work for the "Prisoners Covenant" in Syria...
Prisoners covenant, FOR THE RIGHTS OF PRISONERS, guilty or NOT!
I demand justice for my husband Bilal Abdul Kareem and other prisoners in Syria!
The Justice Covenant demands:
- No Torture
- No Indefinite Detention
- All suspects are deemed innocent until proven guilty
- All detainees have the right to see a judge within 48 hours of their detention!!
