Young people who have not really gained their freedom knowledge that time and travel gives are often very idealistic and critical of the things they cannot understand. The solution they proffer are usually lacking depth and critical thinking. I visited Poland last year, I saw that they had “Old City” and “New City”. I was intrigued. The old city was old, teeming with people and should have been demolished to accommodate modern structures so that Poland can become up to date like other European cities. The people however are unwilling to lose their ancestral homes and history. When you travel a bit, you will see that new money builds new cities while old money keeps old cities. Children raised in Makoko are buying estates in Lekki while their parents continue to live in Makoko out of choice.
