@kaitlynmwerner Great point! I think it's also a great idea to be as involved with data collection as possible. Having RAs to help is super useful, but collecting data yourself gives you appreciation for it in a way that delegating it to others can't.

If you can't do the analyses for your own dissertation, you don't deserve the PhD based on that work. The PhD is the time to learn and stats is a huge part of it, at least in psych. Get consultations, have collaborators, etc. But you still need to be able to do it yourself.
