Colin and Wendy Parry spoke at my son’s graduation at the University of Liverpool as they were awarded honorary degrees. Truly impressive how they have acted with dignity and always prioritised peace over hate, even with the loss they suffered.

Today is the 33rd anniversary of the day the IRA bombed Warrington town centre and killed my son Tim and 3 yr old Johnathan Ball. Words can never describe how losing a child leaves a huge hole in your heart and your family. Eternal love Tim ❤️❤️

@BradfemlyWalsh When I apologised in a shop in The Netherlands for not speaking Dutch, when they nearly all have made the effort to learn English, I got the reply: ‘Don’t worry, it’s a stupid language’

Well, the Dutch don't exactly discourage you, but in 20 years of being able to speak Dutch, I have had precisely one Dutch person actually converse with me in Dutch and not speak English even when I'm clearly wanting to speak Dutch 😭😭
