Two Torah scrolls have been stolen from a synagogue in Manchester. CCTV footage from last Friday found three men enter the Beis HaMedrash Torah Etz Chaim in Salford and leave with a large safe containing the stolen scrolls. The suspects also reportedly caused damages to the building’s floor and walls. An appeal has now been issued for the return of the scrolls, which are between 50-100 years old and hold significant religious and sentimental value for the congregation, in addition to their financial value.
