Capitalism really did a number on us because “have to” isn’t remotely true. The only real necessity here might be running shoes. The rest is just for aesthetics

You’d think running is a cheap sport since it’s just running. But you quickly realize that’s far from the truth when you have to buy shoes, socks, a Garmin watch, subscribe to Strava, sign up for marathons, and get all the other running gear😭
