If trace amounts of glyphosate in food sound scary, here’s some perspective. As @trainbloom explains, detection =/= harm. For example, the average US adult would need to eat 1,000+ loaves of bread PER DAY for glyphosate to MAYBE become a concern. #paidpartnership

What does “trace” really mean when it comes to food safety? 🔬 In a new Florida Politics op-ed, Dr. Sasha Kaiser explains that trace levels of glyphosate found in foods like bread are far below established safety thresholds. Detection does not equal danger. Read more: floridapolitics.com/archives/78547…

BREAKING: The Kentucky House has passed SB 199! This moves the bill one step closer to being signed into law. By reinforcing that science-based, EPA-approved agricultural labels are the law, this bill provides the stability our agricultural industry needs to thrive. We commend Rep. Ryan Bivens and Sen. Jason Howell, their fellow KY lawmakers, and the strong coalition of 14 KY farmer and business groups for their commitment to protecting the tools that growers rely on every day. The bill now heads back to the Senate for concurrence before moving to the Governor’s desk. Read more about the bill here: modernagalliance.org/news-resources…

Kentucky farmers are hurting. Between rising input costs and declining commodity prices, the margins have never been tighter. Now, activists want to strip away the very tools producers need to combat pests and weeds efficiently. Farmer-legislators like Rep. Ryan Bivens are making farmers' voices heard in Frankfort. Kentucky SB 199 passed the Senate and is now at the doorstep of the House. Lawmakers must push it across the finish line to protect our food supply. Tell your local KY representative to stand with growers and support SB 199 by sending a letter: modernagalliance.org/state/kentucky/

Iowa farmer @duaneaistrope's recent letter in the Des Moines Register highlights a growing reality across rural America: farmers are facing serious financial pressure—and the last thing they need is uncertainty around the tools they rely on to grow our food. As Aistrope writes, Iowa lawmakers have an opportunity to act and ensure farmers maintain access to the innovative tools they depend on. Read the full letter: modernagalliance.org/news-resources…

When circumstances are already very tough for farmers, uncertainty around the crop protection tools they rely on is only making things worse. These tools help farmers manage pests and weeds, keep yields high, and control costs. Without them, already thin margins become even tighter. Fortunately, some lawmakers are stepping up. The Farm Bill’s inclusion of labeling uniformity language—and its passage through committee—is a promising step forward. States like Kentucky, Kansas, and Missouri have stepped up by taking action to protect crop protection tools. Now it’s time for others to follow their lead. Tell your lawmakers to protect the tools farmers depend on to keep food affordable and farms viable. Read more about the farmer crisis here: nytimes.com/2026/03/12/bus…

By advancing SB 199, the Kentucky Senate is standing with farmers to help ensure they have the crop protection tools they rely on to feed our nation. We’re grateful to the Kentucky Senate and its leadership, including Senator Pro Tempore Givens, Senate President Stivers, and Floor Leader Wise. Next stop: The Kentucky House. Let’s get it done! Farmers have been clear about what they need: science-based policies that provide certainty around the tools they rely on to grow safe and affordable food. We thank Senator Reed and the Kentucky Senate for listening to farmers and advancing SB 199. The Senate has done its part and now it's time for the House to move this critical legislation across the finish line. Watch the @PBS feature here: pbs.org/video/senate-d…

Missouri legislators took an important step forward for farmers as the Senate Agriculture Committee advanced SB 1005. As farmers confront a challenging farm economy, they need certainty around the proven, safe tools they rely on to stay competitive and keep food affordable for Missouri families at the grocery store. SB 1005 is sponsored by Senator Kurtis Gregory and is supported by a strong coalition of Missouri agricultural organizations. We are proud to stand with Missouri farmers in moving pro-farmer legislation forward. Read here: modernagalliance.org/news-resources…
