ONE WEEK OUT: Last Thursday, @BankingGOP advanced the CLARITY Act out of committee, following in the footsteps of the House Committee on Agriculture, @FinancialCmte, and @SenateAgGOP. The digital asset landscape needs certainty and clear rules of the road. It’s time to get this landmark bill to President Trump’s desk.

Corn exports reached $3.1 billion in the first two months of this year — up 6% in value! I was proud to lead legislation in the Farm Bill to help open new export markets through expanded infrastructure investment in my FRIDGE Act. Corn is one of Iowa’s top exports, and I remain committed to fighting for our farmers and expanding access to markets around the world.

Producers continue to sound off on the positive impacts of the Working Families @TaxCuts. @ArFB President Dan Wright shares how the new poultry insurance pilot program gives more options for growers to manage risk and better handle rising input costs. Next step: Farm Bill 2.0.

Today, we convened another Fertilizer Briefing and Press Conference alongside @SecretaryWright, @epaleezeldin, Director Kevin Hassett, @DepSecVaden, @SenJohnHoeven, @JohnBoozman, @RogerMarshallMD, @CongressmanGT, @ASACivilWorks, and @RepMann to report on and discuss immediate actions and long-term solutions to strengthen and ultimately reshore America’s fertilizer supply chain and deliver relief for our farmers. 🇺🇸 We are advancing shovel-ready projects for 2026 and taking immediate action to stabilize supply ahead of planting season through expanded imports, Jones Act waivers, regulatory reforms, and increased domestic production. This is an all-hands-on-deck effort to lower costs, expand production, and put American farmers first.

Food security is national security. The House Committee on Agriculture continues to work with @USDA and @SecRollins to prioritize solutions in the fertilizer space that balance the need for short-term relief with progress toward long-term stability. Today’s announcement is a major step toward restoring American fertilizer production and reducing our reliance on foreign suppliers. 🇺🇸 Through @USDA investments and partnerships, the projects announced today are expected to increase domestic fertilizer production by nearly 4.5 million tons annually — helping support roughly 400,000 producers and 290 million acres of farmland across the country. For too long, farmers have faced rising input costs and supply chain disruptions driven by global instability and over-dependence on imports. Expanding domestic production helps strengthen our food security, lower costs for producers, and keep American agriculture competitive. There is still more work ahead, but this is an incredible step in delivering long-term solutions for rural America and the farmers who feed, fuel, and clothe the world. @epaleezeldin @SecretaryWright

I’m proud of the work my @HouseAgGOP colleagues and I put in to pass a strong, bipartisan Farm Bill through the House. This week I talked with local farmers, Farm Bureau members, and small business owners in Scioto County about how the Farm Bill will provide much-needed support for our local agriculture industry. Having built on the historic $66 billion investment in agriculture made in the Working Families Tax Cuts, the Farm Bill will make it easier for farms to stay in business and keep food on our families’ tables. As a member of @HouseAgGOP, I’ll continue advocating in Congress for the needs of our local farmers, ranchers, producers, and business owners so our local industries can grow and thrive!

 In West Tennessee, Ag is central to our economy. This bill strengthens the farm safety net, improves crop insurance, invests in more research, and makes disaster assistance more reliable.

This week, we hosted a Farm Bill Roundtable with members, stakeholders, and farmers to discuss the pressing need for updated farm legislation, ending with @HouseGOP passing the Farm Bill. Our farm and rural families are the backbone of our country, and it’s high time Congress acts to bring these folks much-needed relief.
