Since day one in Congress, I’ve been committed to delivering strong ag policy that is written by farmers, for farmers, and always appreciate hearing their insights.

🚨 $1.625 billion is available to specialty crop farmers through USDA's Assistance for Specialty Crop Farmers program. These payments provide financial support to allow producers to pay for production and marketing inputs in the face of significant market disruptions and elevated input costs during the 2025 growing season. Enrollment is open through August 7, 2026, and producers can submit their application at fsa.usda.gov/ascf.

July is National Ice Cream Month! Signed into law in 1984 by President Reagan, this month is dedicated to American dairy and ice cream producers. Indiana's dairy industry is a more than $1 billion industry, producing more than 4.5 billion pounds of milk each year to help nourish America and the world.

Producers have been sounding the alarm for years that Congress needs to address the workforce crisis we have on our hands in farm country. Today, I introduced the Securing Agriculture’s Workforce Act of 2026 in order to bring the H-2A visa program into the 21st century. Farmers need solutions, and this bill makes practical reforms to expand access, control costs, and cut down on red tape.

We are MOOving closer to the 250th birthday of America! Today is the last day of National Dairy Month! 🥛 There are more than 20,000 dairy farms across the United States, representing generations of dairy farmers who have helped feed American families since our nation's founding.
