To have my own game design work recognized by a creator who I looked up to and who has inspired my work for many decades - the creator of Metal Slug saying this about Primordia really means a lot to me personally. I may frame this this tweet and hang it above my desk.

When my stepdad was diagnosed with rare and highly aggressive form of cancer soon after Primordia's release, one of the more difficult parts of caring for him during his recovery was preparing foods he could actually physically eat. This is no joke, pure, unadulterated; evil.

They put an 8 inch long 2mm thick needle into his spinal column then irradiated him until his entire immune system was non existent. Cooking fucking chicken broth and vegetables for hours until it was palatable for him after long ass hospital trips and endless waiting. Worrying.

I was in charge of the project seeing as it was MY project (lol) so my original design & idea was kept obviously and he never got arms.

However! As much as Mark Y loves to lie about the entire development and pretend he designed everything, made every decision and led the project that's an abject lie, and he did not.

Mark wanted to give Crispin "Monster's inc" or "Disney" style arms and I just didn't like the genericism of that, for one. But it would also wreck one of my favourite character moments where we visually see Horatio lending Crispin a helping hand abord the train scene.

In this instance Crispin is like a turtle on his back- Horatio grabbing him visually shows the bond between them..." "I think if Crispin had arms in this scene, it might take a lot of that feeling out, for Crispin could just grab onto the engine and help himself.

I think the actual reason I gave Crispin no arms is one of the more charming stories of Primordia's character development; "For instance, the scene where Horatio steps onto the engine for the ride to Metropol, and as Crispin tries to keep up Horatio scoops him up in his arms;

They have "her" using a lathe with long hair which is about as smart as using a straight razor to shave your neck hairs while on a wobbling tractor trolley.

@zeynepkologluu Using power tools with long hair exposes is SUPER dangerous BTW - kind of irresponsible to even consider posting a fake AI video that could really very much harm real people but hey it's the current year WGAF?
