When interviewing for a sales role you need to be interviewing them almost more than they are interviewing you They’ll all tell you “yeah everyone hits quota”. Don’t believe them Ask hard questions. Dig in on their market fit, their sales cycle, closed lost vs closed won, how many reps are repeatedly at or above quota, what’s the relationship with adjacent roles (SDRs, AEs, SE, CS, etc) Find out who their competitors are. Who their biggest clients are. Figure out which conventions they’re present at. Figure out how the industry thinks about them (if they think about them at all) You know you can sell. But do you know you can sell what they’re offering? The interview is where you find out

Okay, another @AzukiTCG question: Can someone explain to me how Rushfire Gate works? Like…it gives the card you portaled charge? Or the 2nd card you get to play charge? And if its the 2nd card, does it go straight into play? Bc if not then it dies at the end of the turn so whats the point?

My sweet 95 year old grandmother passed this week, and I’m home to help my mama and be with family. Know what happens when someone dies? A lot of thankless emotional labor. Guess what will happily and diligently do emotional labor? AI. My mom has 1200 (!!!) photos of my grandmother, from her 10 children and 30 grandchildren, for the memorial: I was able to deduplicate, crop and clean, tag by date and occasion, make a mini approval webapp, and turn into a hyperframe slideshow all with codex. Computer use took a messy apple notes doc of favorite songs and turned it into a looping playlist for the reception. Voice mode chatgpt to help mom match snippets of verses from memory with the right bible passages for the mass. Cleaning up old photos, making sure the obit is in the right format, designing a program, ordering flowers, all these little things that would fall—let’s be honest—to the women in the family are made a little lighter with these tools. There’s probably someone out there who would say there’s some inherent virtue in the sorting, organizing, managing, researching, that the tedium is the point, that I’m an automaton monster for figuring out an easier way. But guess what? My mom’s going to get more sleep tonight and the week’s going to be more connected and less stressful for everyone. I call that a win. AI for the home! AI for the family! AI when you need a break 🫶

This is why non-playing fans that don’t even understand the game are the worst part about sports. That pass was very difficult. There’s a reason every top player complimented Jon Stones positioning. When you never play the game, you don’t understand that Stones can easily read that pass. Sorloth was not going to fake it and push it forward into space to shoot with his right foot. He’s not quick enough. He would either have to play a more risky creative pass to Haaland to avoid being read easily, or do what he did. He just didn’t execute it well . The fact people are harping on him and trying to make him out to be the scapegoat is insane. It’s just psychopathic fans with no idea what they’re talking about.

after 2 weeks back playing tcgs, we got 7th place tonight at locals! (best performance so far) it’s been so much fun sweating it out against mfs that have been maining ts for years will get 1st soon, give it a month
