UAE air defences intercept 3 UAVs. The Ministry of Defence announced that on 17th May 2026, UAE air defence systems intercepted three UAVs that entered the country from the western border direction. The ministry said that two of the UAVs were successfully intercepted, while the third struck an electrical generator outside the inner perimeter of the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant in the Al Dhafra Region. The ministry added that investigations are underway to determine the source of the attacks, noting that further details will be announced upon completion of the investigations. تعاملت الدفاعات الجوية الإماراتية مع 3 طائرات مسيّرة. أعلنت وزارة الدفاع أنه في 17 مايو 2026 تعاملت الدفاعات الجوية الإماراتية مع 3 طائرات مسيّرة دخلت الدولة من جهة الحدود الغربية، حيث تم التعامل بنجاح مع اثنتين فيما أصابت الثالثة مولد كهربائي خارج المحيط الداخلي لمحطة براكة للطاقة النووية في منطقة الظفرة. وأضافت الوزارة بأن التحقيقات جارية لمعرفة مصدر الاعتداءات، وسيتم الكشف عن المستجدات بعد انتهاء التحقيقات. وتؤكد وزارة الدفاع أنها على أهبة الاستعداد والجاهزية للتعامل مع أي تهديدات، والتصدي بحزم لكل ما يستهدف زعزعة أمن الدولة، بما يضمن صون سيادتها وأمنها واستقرارها، ويحمي مصالحها ومقدراتها الوطنية. #وزارة_الدفاع #وزارة_الدفاع_الإماراتية #MOD #UAEMinistryOfDefence

The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs held a briefing for foreign missions ambassadors and international organizations on the 2026 UN Water Conference, co-hosted by the UAE and Senegal, in Abu Dhabi 8-10 December 2026. H.E. Abdulla Balalaa, UAE Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for energy & sustainability, highlighted the Conference’s global importance and key milestones achieved to date — including the adoption of the six interactive dialogue themes, by consensus, at the UN General Assembly and the appointment of their co-chairs earlier this year.
