Over the past two years, Mayo Clinic has taken steps to improve access to financial aid. They screen patients for "presumptive eligibility" and have increased their financial aid contributions. As a journalist, it's so meaningful when our reporting brings about change. (5/5)

"Since the Rochester Post Bulletin reporting, the Office has received over 120 Mayo Clinic-related complaints from the public about various issues related to medical billing and debt," the report says. (4/)
