@Polymarket I think what will happen is ai is making things easier then ever so it’s literally reproduce what a company has been working 10 years for in 1

@thdxr in the end it doesn’t matter for most people, what ai will do in the end it’s just less and less friction for end users that’s it

i see so many articles "analyzing" the ai industry and it reminds me why it's better to be stupid than only slightly smart these people find very convincing, intelligent sounding ways to be completely wrong

@zeeg at current opus/gpt prices what monthly spend range do you want your employees to be in the range that makes you feel they're taking advantage of this enough and they're not overdoing it

There's some wild disconnect that people believe productivity is spending 6-figures on inference in a month. You know what happens if that remains true? We hire more software engineers and spend less on inference. "Loops" - or any other equiv - only work if compute is cheap.

🚨ANTHROPIC APOLOGIZES AFTER RESEARCHERS CALLED INVISIBLE GUARDRAILS “SECRET SABOTAGE” >claude fable 5 had INVISIBLE guardrails >secretly degrading users’ AI research >bro what >researchers found out and went nuclear >called it “secret sabotage” Anthropic: “We made the wrong tradeoff and we apologize” New policy: If Claude suspects you’re building frontier AI it will ‘alert’ the user that it’s refused the request or routed it to Opus

@NovaXCode i think it’s the way you use it fable is more a orchestrator then opus but opus is more of a deep executor

🚨 AI News | TestingCatalog
Anthropic is making changes to the way how Fable 5 responds to prompts related to “frontier LLM development” after community backlash. These requests will be transparently routed to Claude Opus 4.8.

ClaudeDevs@ClaudeDevs

We’re rolling out changes to make Fable 5’s safeguards for frontier LLM development visible. Starting this week, flagged requests will visibly fall back to Opus 4.8—the same as our safeguards for cyber and bio. You will see this every time it happens. On the API, any flagged requests will return a reason for their refusal (coming to server-side fallback in the next few days). We wanted to deploy Fable 5 to our users quickly and safely. Visible safeguards can be probed, so they have to be robust, which takes time to get right. Invisible safeguards can be targeted more narrowly, allowing us to ship quickly with very few false positives. We went with invisible safeguards for this reason—and that was the wrong tradeoff. You should have visibility into the safeguards we have in place, and why. We’re sorry for not getting the balance right. Making the safeguards visible makes them easier to work around, so keeping them robust to jailbreaks will unfortunately mean more false positives while we improve the classifiers. We're also tuning our bio and cyber classifiers to trigger less often on harmless requests. We know this is frustrating and we’ll do our best to keep this period as short as possible. If you think a request has been mistakenly flagged: run /feedback in Claude Code, click thumbs-down on the fallback in Claude.ai or Cowork, or file the safeguard appeal form for API requests. Your reports help us tune these classifiers and we appreciate your feedback. support.claude.com/en/articles/82…

Models perform best when the task is narrow and explicit. Specific task → cleaner context → less ambiguity → stronger signal → better output.

Best setup, imo: Fable orchestrates. Opus plans and reviews. Sonnet executes. Haiku handles cheap utility work.

Mythos-level performance isn’t only about the base model. With the right instruction, Opus, GPT-5.5, or even Sonnet could probably get surprisingly close or even surpass. Most people just haven’t pushed orchestration hard enough yet.

Pure speculation, but Mythos may be loop-based. That could explain both the unusually high benchmark numbers and why access is temporary right now: it may be expensive to run.

Most people are thinking about Fable the wrong way. It’s not primarily an executor model. It’s closer to an orchestration model.
