Public miners offloaded 32,000 BTC last quarter just to keep operations running, more than everything they moved in 2025 and beyond the Terra Luna crash quarter.
The math is brutal when your only option is to sell what you mine to pay for mining it.
@litecoin's setup avoids that trap entirely.
By merge mining with Dogecoin, Scrypt miners can generate revenue from both chains using a single set of hardware.
When one market slows down, the other can sustain the operation without needing to sell any coins.
Payments. Privacy. Hard money.

People make full use of halving events to run widespread media campaigns, giving a much larger audience the chance to discover and learn about LTC. At its core, spreading information is essentially a form of advertising, and advertising naturally drives demand and sales—this is straightforward to understand. Moreover, the halving event itself aligns perfectly with LTC’s long-standing “scarcity” narrative, making it very easy for people to attribute subsequent price increases to the halving and form a strong causal connection.

@monkisgod I was thinking about this:
If what you say is true
Why the halving event is considered to be bullish for price?

DISPUTATIO #1 $LTC $DOGE $BTC
"Production cost, merge mining, fair value"
PROPOSITIO:
1) In proof of work coins like Bitcoin, market price tends to gravitate around production cost.
2) Litecoin merge mining produces both LTC + DOGE + others.
3) Swapping every coin you mine for LTC yields more LTC.
4) Merge mining lowers the effective production cost per LTC.
-------------------------------------------------------
Conclusion) Merge mining makes Litecoin cheaper to produce and therefore market price will tend to gravitate around a cheaper price compared to a scenario without merge mining.
Any counterarguments for this?
OPPOSITIO?
What do you think? Is this argument wrong? Why? What are you rejecting? 1) 2) 3) or 4) ?

黄金不需要维护;
黄金没有版本路线之争;
黄金不会因为开发者意见不合而分叉;

@monkisgod Are you a Litecoin supporter from China? 👀 nice to meet you
English

@monkisgod Ok but if Litecoin' price for example does a x5 in price now, will the production cost do a x5 too? Won't it stay the same? Why should the market price change the production cost?
Thank you for the answer btw
I truly appreciate it! 🙏🏻

In a fully competitive market, it is the market price that determines costs—not the other way around. Merge mining only changes the revenue structure, but LTC’s equilibrium price is still jointly determined by market demand and the difficulty adjustment mechanism, rather than by production costs alone.
