@serialjeff No we get it, you all just keep saying shit like “no our heat is different! You just wouldn’t get it” And we do. We have a large country with various climates. We travel often. We know all too well what you’re talking about - you all are just too stubborn to admit it’s the truth

@LunarPledge @Irukiris No buddy it’s your fellow euros that keep coming on this app and yelling at us that you in fact do not have them anywhere Also claiming “it costs too much” is crazy because more people die of heat stroke in Europe than America & its nominally higher wet bulb temps in the us

@Irukiris I mean. yes. I get that. I should have worded it better what I meant is less 'surprise' and more like they're calling us stupid for not necessarily always having them.

Why do people operate like this? Why can’t you just say what you actually want? Gotta imagine you’ll actually get deals done that way

- Why don’t you send me any trade offers? “I have? Like once per week. You don’t respond” - …. - Player on the block “what you want for that player?” *sends offer of asking price - Rebuttal is 2x what was initially asked for

Major trade! Sent Lamar/Strange for Mendoza/KCC/27 2nd While it wasn’t necessarily the haul I was looking for - it met the value standards I had & felt like a fair deal The league obviously had the full spectrum of reactions - fun time lol

Here’s the squad post draft The previous owner gutted this team by sending youth + early picks for aging vets in a poorly executed all in effort that resulted in missing the playoffs It was a ticking time tomb - and he ghosted the league week 1 of 2024 That’s when I stepped in

@realityman123 @Reisshub Every single place I’ve ever worked has had AC. Every shop/store inside place has AC. Old home built in the 1930s, sure. It’s not hard to get it installed or buy a portable unit. People act like it doesn’t exist though, it’s just dumb

lol fucking idiots man, them euros really are something else Like we don’t have a subtropical part of this country 💀
The Cynical Crusader@Cyn1calCrusader

So, jokes aside, to understand why the heat is worse in the UK than say Arizona for example, the answer is quite long... First it's the Humidity, it's far higher here. The UK's island location and prevailing south-westerly winds bring moist sea air, so heatwaves are often humid rather than dry. In contrast, many of the hottest US states (e.g., Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico) have dry desert heat where sweat evaporates quickly, so you actually feel cooler despite higher temperatures. Even humid US regions (like the Southeast) usually have widespread air conditioning to offset it. Second, the buildings and Infrastructure that we have all are designed to Trap Heat, not Release It. UK homes are built for cold, damp winters: thick brick/stone walls, heavy insulation, small windows, and designs that retain warmth. During a heatwave, they turn into ovens, solar gain through windows builds up, and there is poor ventilation or passive cooling features like overhangs, shutters, or light-coloured roofs. Plus, poor air conditioning: Only about 5% of UK homes have AC (vs. ~90% in the US). It's not standard because it's rarely needed most of the year, but during spikes it's a nightmare. Also, retrofitting is expensive and tricky in old terraced houses or listed buildings. This extended to public transport, schools, offices, and even hospitals as they often lack cooling. Finally, most importantly, we have zero acclimatisation. Meaning it's just as hot at night as it is during the day. Britons aren't physiologically or culturally used to sustained heat. We're properly white! So, a sudden jump from typical UK summer temps feels extreme, and the body struggles more without gradual adaptation. Heatwaves often bring "tropical nights" (temps staying above 20 °C), so homes don't cool down overnight. You can't sleep, recover, or anything which just compounds fatigue, dehydration, etc. Drier US heat often cools significantly at night. That is all topped up with the fact that we have longer summer daylight at the UK's higher latitude meaning more hours of solar heating. Hope this long explanation that no one wanted clears this right up...

They are gonna forget about all of this when they’re winning mid season and he’s putting up 80 yards per game lmao He’s gonna get a deal similar to Jameson Williams and everybody gonna say he’s the cheapest WR1 in football next offseason I’ll circle back

𝗥𝗨𝗠𝗢𝗥𝗦: The Chiefs have no plans in the foreseeable future to discuss a long-term extension with WR Rashee Rice, per @AdamSchefter Rice is currently in a Dallas prison for violating his probation terms and also just underwent knee surgery.
