blunt, sometimes a little bitter. full-time opinionated, part-time defender. saying what you’re thinking (or too scared to say).

yeah, no shit. that applies to literally every actor ever. but the point is y’all only pull that line out when steps outside her usual roles. when she stays in her lane, it’s mediocer and no range. when she experiments, suddenly it’s “well… only if she executes it perfectly.” so which one is it? meanwhile iu has been proving her range over and over and delivering performances that clearly show growth and effort, not just sticking to what’s easy or familiar. y’all don’t actually care about range or execution like that you just keep moving the goalpost depending on what lets you criticize her that day. just say you hate seeing her successful as both a singer and an actress and move on.
💅@asrarion

range matters if they're actually good at it and execute it well

saying aesoon didn’t suit her because her face isn’t refined enough isn’t even about acting anymore, it’s just you projecting a beauty standard onto the role. not every character is supposed to look polished and elegant. and reducing iuto her facial features instead of her actual performance kinda says everything. be honest… if she looked more refined to you, suddenly the role would fit, right? so yeah, it was never about the acting.

one thing for sure, people really hate successful idol actors, and they also hate anyone who suddenly blows up after one buzz drama like if you came from idol background, they’ll never let you breathe. everything you do gets over-scrutinized, every role becomes proof you don’t deserve it, and any success gets reduced to just popularity instead of actual effort or growth. and on the other side, if you weren’t big before and then suddenly hit it big with one drama, now it’s overrated, overhyped, let’s see if they can last. so which one is it?? you want consistecy or you want new people to rise? it’s like there’s this weird resentment toward anyone who’s visibly winning. they’ll either discredit your past or downplay your present just to make it seem like you didn’t deserve it. at this point it’s not even about acting anymore, it’s about people being uncomfortable watching someone succeed in a way they didn’t expect.

the hate for the cast feels so forced like. it doesn’t even read as genuine criticism anymore 😭 it’s giving people already decided they don’t like them before the show even had a chance to breathe like you can tell when feedback comes from actually watching vs when it’s just bandwagoning or nitpicking every little thing to justify a pre-set opinion. some of y’all aren’t even reacting to the acting, you’re reacting to your own bias and calling it critique. and at this point it’s not about performance, it’s about wanting them to fail and then dressing it up as standards.

why would she regret turning down when she chose on purpose? not every actor is chasing the loudest, most obvious hit. some of them actually care about the story, the character, and what they want to explore next and let’s not rewrite history like wlgyt isn’t pulling both commercial AND critical success.

if she keeps choosing the same type of role, y’all call her mediocre and say she has no range. the moment iu actually challenges herself and picks something different, suddenly it turns into: “iu is good at acting, but it seems like there are roles that suit her and roles that don’t.” oh so now range matters… but only when it’s convenient for you? acting isn’t about staying safe and repeating the same formula forever. the whole point is to take risks, try different characters, and yes, sometimes not land perfectly. that’s literally how growth works. but y’all don’t actually want growth, you just want a perfect, untouchable performance every single time so you can nitpick the moment she steps out of your narrow expectations. and let’s be real, if she never stepped out of her comfort zone, you’d be the first ones saying she’s one-dimensional. so which one is it? because right now it just sounds like y’all are more committed to criticizing her than actually judging her fairly. lmao pick a struggle.

i aslo honestly think y’all need to chill out a bit with the negative reviews about. It’s just the start. no need to be so loud, save the noise for when the quality’s actually been proven. of course, once it proves itself, I’ll step up and defend it if needed.

why y’all always acting like iu level is just something you reach if your company behaves??? besides luck, she built that with years of hard work, consistency, and hit after hit. she didn’t just have one peak and fade, she maintained relevance across generations, kept the general public on her side, and kept delivering. and mind you, she’s not someone who gets discouraged easily either. she’s been open about her insecurities, she knows what she’s lacking, actually admits it, and still chooses to improve instead of hiding behind excuses. that level of self awareness is rare, and even rarer is actually doing something about it. people love to reduce everything to “bad company vs good company” narratives, but if it was that simple, we would’ve seen dozens of iu-level careers by now. we haven’t because it takes more than management, it takes timing, adaptability, emotional intelligence, and the ability to connect with the public over and over again. and honestly? i think some of y’all say that because it’s easier to blame a company than admit not everyone can reach that level. iu level isn’t some missed opportunity, it’s an outlier. that kind of longevity, growth, and trust? yeah no, a company can’t manufacture that for you.

y’all really sat there, made up a dating rumor about wonyoung out of thin air, then used the age gap to act morally superiorover a situation you invented. and don’t drag wonyoung just because you’ve got a bitter ass agenda toward kim taehyung or bts. keep that weird energy in your own fandom.
LL@DDD0IA

this is the first time Wonyoung (IVE) attended to a k-pop group concert. so she chose BTS because she's really dating Taehyung... the rumor is true. but, I wanted to remind yall that she's only 21 years old while he's 30 💀

marriage my ass 😭 that man can’t even stand on his own without hiding behind her name, and y’all want IU to marry that manchild? be serious. the bar is in hell and somehow y’all still tripping over it… tasteless and loud is a crazy combo.
mano.@minimanomi

People here gaslighting themselves every 3 months saying they already broke up 😂 They’ve been seeing each other for what, 5 years? yeah they’re already halfway to marriage at this point 😂

her breakup is honestly a free pass for her. let’s be real, she never needed a man to stay relevant in the first place. If anything, she’s always been the one carrying the spotlight on her own.
