@MoonieFR I mean why wouldn't you get compared to hunt. The only unique thing so far is the players can also control monsters.

Many compare us to Hunt: Showdown, which is understandable given that they're the only ones making this type of game. But it's important to clarify that we're not trying to do the same thing. We want players to understand that BL isn't "Hunt: Showdown X STALKER". While the influence of these great games is undeniable, we're trying to create our own thing. Although we have similarities to Hunt, like PvE driving the PvP and a common main objective for everyone on the map, most of the elements are different and make BL a unique experience. Everything is built around the objective, but with more layers. It's not revolutionary, but for some reason, people ignore the fact that Hunt has very solid foundations that can define an entire genre of games.

I don't think they're going to develop PvP beyond its current state. The game has the potential to offer excellent PvP with the right rules (and the solution is Wasteland, but no one wants to do Wasteland), but I think they've realized how difficult it is to manage both PvE and PvP. They’ve decided to focus on PvE, so PvP will remain in its infancy for more years, if not forever. It’s a choice I respect as a developer but less so as a player, since they were the ones who marketed the game for its PvPvE aspect in the first place. I hope they realize this at some point.

Every single new player of GZW will (because of the LZ mechanic) ambush an enemy player at an LZ and die to this hidden invincibility just like this guy did. They will die repeatedly until another player tells them "oh yeah so there's this godmode you get when you land..."

Day 1 into streaming GZW and while the QOL is great I cannot believe this game has gone like 2+ yrs now with this "every team shares same LZs" feature and "you can't tell the pilot to wave off" and "the ambushing player doesn't know you're invincible for 5s from the heli"

I'm gonna hold off from playing any more Gray Zone until they fix the LZs / COP loop. It's just so draining to kill a player and know he's gonna be back in your area in <3 mins, sprintjumping around searching for you with nothing to lose.
