I think philippine self hate is so strangely performative. You *have* to show that you’re worse off than everyone else. If you look in the QRTs, it’s people asking to be colonized. I agree that it sucks here in many ways but it just feels like preaching to the choir.

I think people forget that the reason why video game franchises need consistent releases is because timing IS everything. Eventually older fans will grow older, move on, and/or die. Unless you're as big as Pokemon/Star Wars in its heyday, you need some relevancy. (LONG 🧵)
