@moonlitmurray

Wandering in the moonlight. I love being rebellious and cool, but if the revolution could be over by 9:30pm, that would be appreciated.

@thestorygraph I’m wondering if it is possible to mark a book as something you’ve read, but to also add it to your ‘to read’ list because you would like to read it again?

I’ve added my own epithets to the list over time: - Present - Proactive - Productive - Cheerful - Resilient - Adaptable - Brave What would you add to your list? #Stoic #Stoicism 2/2

In book 10.8 of #TheMeditations, #MarcusArelius listed 6 epithets he felt he should strive to embody: - Upright - Modest - Straightforward - Sane - Cooperative - Disinterested I think about these a lot, particularly when I’m on one of my afternoon walks. #Stoicism 1/2

@ticktick I would love it if tasks could have an optional 'pester me' setting, so you get alert reminders every eg 10 minutes until you mark the task as completed.

It feels strangely meaningful in Twitter's rename to 'X' that this is the universally recognised symbol for shutting down an application.

I made this chart but all the ideas are taken from Seneca. When I was researching his work, I found a few metaphors that he used repeatedly—like the one about having a destination—that no one else seems to have noticed. Great stuff from Seneca.

This is called 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙎𝙩𝙤𝙞𝙘 𝙈𝙞𝙧𝙧𝙤𝙧, and it was created by @DavidFidelerPhD (author of 𝘉𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘬𝘧𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘞𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘚𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘤𝘢.) It's an awesome comparison of Stoic vs. non-Stoic traits!

I've just had a book published on the Stoics' commitments to thinking and acting as parts of a community and a world, rather than for personal benefits alone. More information: wipfandstock.com/9781666759365/…

@GuardianAus @guardian @guardiannews I am a subscriber to the Guardian app both on my android phone and my iPad. Is there any way i can tell the apps that I am not interested in sports news and to not send me notifications for these?

@Mondyboy I’m currently reading this. To me it has a very George Saunders feel to it.

Books Read: The Thing in the Snow by Sean Adams Really enjoyed his debut The Heap and this book might be better (it’s certainly tighter). Three caretakers look after a research institute in the middle of nowhere surrounded by snow. Weirdness ensues. I read it as a lockdown
