Before @SpaceX became a trillion dollar company, people laughed at it.
They called @elonmusk a madman. They called Mars an impossible mission. They watched rockets fail, explode, and fall short, then told him to give up.
But he never listened to them. He kept building because the mission was bigger than the pain.
Liv carried the same spirit with Asteroid.
She faced impossible odds, but she never stopped believing. She gave Asteroid meaning, gave people something to rally around, and helped make this more than just a mascot.
She made him a symbol of hope.
For that, we will always stand together to honor this beautiful story.
No matter how hard things get, we won't give up on Asteroid.

Just finished a 2 minute tribute video for a truly special girl: Olivia Perrotto.
Her story touched me from the very beginning, and I couldn’t help but immortalize it in something she and her mother @rebeccaperrotto would love; and with everything happening with NASA’s Moon Base plans today, it feels even more meaningful to celebrate stories that keep dreaming about humanity’s future in space.
The video is in anime style. As a longtime fan of both Hayao Miyazaki and Makoto Shinkai (two very different but equally brilliant directors) I wanted to create something that truly felt worthy of the "Your Name" anime style.
I used @SuperGrok to bring it to life, and honestly… I was genuinely moved by the result. It didn’t disappoint me at all.

1. 掰弄事实
以太坊 Asteroid 社区实际捐款的时间，是 24 年 10 月 - 11 月 18 日之间。
那时候买入均价在 2-4m 之间，0.5% 的筹码，当时大概价值 7000-9000 刀。

2. 强绑定 Liv 母亲个人
Liv 妈妈领取手续费，并不是在老马互动后才领的。
在此之前，她已经领取过多个代币的手续费。
只不过在 ethereum:0xf280b16ef293d8e534e370794ef26bf312694126 火起来之后，分流盘 Bags 手续费变多了，于是就开始标榜“官方背书”。
3. 模糊化 Asteroid 真正代表的含义
如果 Bags 社区认真看过 Polaris Program 那篇介绍，就会知道 Asteroid 被设计出来的原因：
因为 Liv 没办法去太空了，所以 SpaceX 找她设计这个柴犬玩偶。
Liv 的想法，是让 StJude 医院那些癌症儿童受到鼓舞。
她希望那些孩子看到 Asteroid 玩偶后，可以鼓起勇气去追梦，就像她虽然患上癌症，依然没有停止追寻上太空的梦想。
Liv 她明确说过，想帮助“像我一样 fighting cancer 的 kids”。
Asteroid 周边收益全捐给 St. Jude，也是她自己的要求。
因此，Liv 才要求 SpaceX 和 Polaris Program，每卖出一个玩偶，其中 25 美金都要捐给 StJude 医院。
所以 Asteroid 从一开始，就和医院、梦想、鼓励癌症儿童有关，而不是 Bags 社区后来强行赋予的另类含义。
4. 说以太社区没有实际帮助？
小女孩 Liv 最需要帮助的时候，其实是 2025 年 8 月要去看医生的时候。
那时候 Liv 妈妈连续在推特上呼吁大家去 gofundme 捐款，筹集医药费。
台湾和越南社区当时捐赠了很多医药费，推文也一直在呼吁大家继续帮助。
而在 Liv 过世前一天，以太社区就已经完成了 Asteroid 环游世界的视频，由当时的社区CTO 成员 @jhaninvest 发布在个人版面。
Liv 妈妈转发了那个视频，大家都很感动。
因为我们知道，Liv 在离开前，真的看见了 Asteroid “去了全世界”。
那个时候，Asteroid 甚至都还不是 SpaceX 吉祥物。
当时甚至没人能合出一个完整的 Asteroid 视频。
那时候 Bags 这些现在标榜“正义”的人，又在哪里？

5. 人血馒头能吃多久？
Asteroid 未来真正的炒作预期，其实是 SpaceX IPO。
老马这一波操作，也完全可以视为在给未来上市造势。
但问题在于：大家都在利用 Liv 的故事扩充自己的口袋。
而 Bags 社区这种“人血馒头”还能吃多久？
狗爹也曾发推斥责那些把小女孩死亡当成 crypto 叙事的人。
后续如果真想长期发展，只有“SpaceX 吉祥物”本身，才能成为真正长期的叙事。
而这一点，是 Asteroid 的以太坊社区做到的。
导火索会烧完，但真正重要的，是导火索另一端连接的东西。

迷因币也能改变世界！SpaceX 官方吉祥物 Asteroid 的暖心慈善故事。
2024 年，Asteroid 社群向 @StJude 儿童研究医院捐赠了 21 亿枚 $ASTEROID 代币。2026年，医院将这些代币卖出，获得了大约 67 万美元的慈善捐款。
为了在保护并不伤害社群的情况下，医院实时监控代币健康度，并小心地分成 12 笔出售这些代币，最终兑换成 290 ETH。这些资金将用来支持正在接受癌症治疗的儿童。
这个捐赠故事要从 2021 年 9 月说起。@inspiration4x 第一次全平民太空任务 @rookisaacman 设定了为 St. Jude 筹集 2 亿美元的目标。@elonmusk 随即承诺捐赠 5000 万美元，帮助这次任务超额完成目标。
三年后 2024 年 9 月，由 Jared Isaacman 再次领导的 @PolarisProgram 执行了第二次全平民太空任务。
这次任务还完成了史上首次商业太空行走，并打破了自 1972 年阿波罗计划以来，人类远离地球的最远距离纪录。而 SpaceX 的吉祥物 Asteroid 也在那次的任务中登上了太空船。
Asteroid 是一只零重力指示物，当太空船进入零重力，它就会漂浮出来。是由 @rebeccaperrotto 的女儿 Liv 设计。当时 Liv 正与癌症对抗，她一直梦想成为第一个进入太空的孩子。
她特别希望能激励 St. Jude 的孩子，看到 Asteroid 也可以上到太空，那这些孩子也都能勇敢地追逐自己的梦想。

During Consensus, I was asked several times about the story of ethereum:0xf280b16ef293d8e534e370794ef26bf312694126 as far as we were aware. Many people were pleasantly surprised by how we managed to exit our position without damaging the community. This is the summary. When we set up the process for accepting crypto donations at @stjude, we set the criteria that we would convert the assets donated as soon as reasonably possible. St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is focused on leading the way that the world understands, treats, and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. While we (the crypto industry) may wish the world would leap forward and be more on-chain, that isn't how it currently exists and we need dollar denoted currencies to run the hospital. Nearly 2 years ago, .5% of ASTEROID was sent to the St. Jude ETH wallet. We didn't have a way to readily convert it into US Dollars, so we left it in the wallet. Due to external factors, the token went from a market cap of ~$20k to over $150M. Our position fluctuated between $500k and $1M in valuation. I had several messages asking if what we were going to do, and I responded to a few that we were figuring it out. The next 48 hours were a whirlwind of approvals, but I knew two things. We would need to go to a DEX (a first for our mission) and that we would need to avoid hurting the community. Leadership understood and gave approval for the approach and we proceeded. Some people may disagree with how we did it, but I believe it to be the best option out of the ones that we had. Over 2 days, we proceeded to exit the position in 12 varying sized tranches. During the entire process, we kept an eye on liquidity of the token and did our best to ensure it never dropped below $3.5M and that the Net Buy pressure didn't exceed $75k. We exited the position with over 290 ETH valued at ~$676k. Thank you to the ethereum:0xf280b16ef293d8e534e370794ef26bf312694126 community that came together on this asset.
