How many Australians will actually admit to this? I bet we've all done something, whether that's buy extra rice, or fill up the tank ALL the way when we didn't need to, or - God forbid - filled a jerrycan or two. I reckon it's most Australians. As in 70%+. But we don't admit it.
Sean@irish_kiwi_007

@discernableco Fuck him Its not my job to protect the fuel supply system Thats the govt job - just as it was the govt job to protect the health system, in COVID Im a hardworking Australian, but my loyalty is to my family Ive filled 40l of jerry cans and will continue to do so

Our RedBridge Accent polling on petrol prices tells you everything you need to know about the Trump political risk in Australia. 61% of all voters blame Trump for rising fuel costs. Only 14% blame Albanese. Now add a 100% tariff on Australian pharmaceuticals. hitting our drugmakers harder than almost anyone else on the planet. This is the environment any Australian politician or commentator has to navigate when they’re seen nodding along to MAGA world. An environment where an old ally has created a fuel crisis so significant that people cannot afford to drive to work and one that now treats Australian companies worse than Russia. The One Nation number is the most revealing. Even 39% of One Nation voters blame Trump for petrol prices. These are voters who are culturally sympathetic to the populist right. And still, nearly four in ten point the finger at Washington. Any conservative figure who spent the last year cosying up to Trump’s orbit now has to explain why Australian medicines are being hit at the maximum possible rate while other countries got carve-outs. These conservative figures may have thought that with Trump, they had scored a culture war win. Instead, a cost-of-living liability and a sovereign risk just walked through their front door.

What a buffoon of the first order. Australia did not ask for the war. Uh huh. What does that mean? We’re paying a heavy price because successive idiot governments destroyed our energy independence. You’re not working around the clock with anyone. You could help small business thrive tomorrow with the flick of a switch. But you’re a dumb socialist fool and grifter like most of Canberra and big government creeps wrecking this nation. Go jump in the lake. And take those two other buffoons with you - Albo and Bowen.
Jim Chalmers MP@JEChalmers

Australians did not ask for this war but they are paying a very hefty price for it. That's why we are working around the clock with businesses, unions and peak bodies to make sure we're doing what we can to help small businesses through this.

Real situation. Bad service, wrong order, attitude — and a choice to either stay quiet or lose control. We’re teaching these boys something different. Handle it the right way. Respectful. Clear. Composed.

Mining companies in Australia use 24% of all our diesel fuel ⛽️ & receive significant fuel tax credits (rebates) for diesel used in off-road mining activities, costing taxpayers over $10 billion annually. That's 52.6 cents/litre, making Gina & her friends even richer @simonahac
💧simon holmes à court 🦋@simonahac

congratulations punters! for 3 months you'll get 1/2 the discount on fuel excise that gina gets every day! (i support fuel excise exemptions for farmers & small-medium businesses, but any business claiming they *need* more than $50m in exemptions is having a lend of taxpayers.)

FriendlyJordies just released a video seething about our NDIS video investigation, claiming that it is all just a massive lie and scam because the Australian Labor Party fixed the issue by prosecuting 20 - YES, A FULL 20!!!!! - scammers since 2022. What an absolute fucking retarded hack. Labor in NSW can't even get the NSW Police to prosecute the Lebanese gangsters who tried to murder FriendlyJordies, yet he still worships them. What do they have on him? The FriendlyJordies Epstein Files must be disgusting and terrifying. RELEASE THE FILES! @PeteZogoulas

That's it. That's the best picture from Saturday's No Kings protests in the USA. The literal Statue of Liberty being detained by police. It doesn't get much more poetic than this.

You are quite correct on the Welcome to Country invented by Ernie Dingo and Richard Whalley. However, the OP is talking about the Acknowledgement of Country which is simply a spoken acknowledgement that can be done by anyone, Aboriginal or non-Aboriginal. Even pilots do it when landing. The WTC can only be performed by an Aboriginal person who is on their 'country' and involves dance and sometimes song.

@simonahac Yawn... This is so old....Did Gina use the fuel on the road Simon.... No, so she does not have to pay the road usage charge, just like everybody else doesn't... Do you pay it while you rip down native forests to build windmills... I highly doubt it...
