🧵 For the many new followers: we are a passion project that started as a business info content creator, then the market told us that we are actually - for lack of a better analogue - Australia's Joe Rogan in that we are good at being curious and talking warmly w/ all sides.

It's so easy once you recognise where LLMs suck. And engineer around that. They have an incredibly sycophantic conversational fluency and pattern matching bias. Because that's the principle underlying technology... pattern matching to a fault. So if you apply negative and/or adversarial prompting, and generally try to hide your preference so it can't race to satisfy you after one turn, you'll experience the magic. Thankfully, Socratic method (which I used in identity transformation therapy) and differential diagnoses (a cornerstone of emergency medicine) are perfectly suited to this is of AI. Copy this very tweet and paste into an AI of your choice (I find Claude Opus 4.6 best right now) and ask it to train you on how to use it like this. It will gladly teach you.
LettersfromRome@ClassicsofRome

@discernableco How do I use it for that? I am becoming increasingly intrigued with how I can use it more. I used it to help me build my website - understanding it more than letting it do the work. But I have embraced its use. Am interested in the way you can use it as you did.

AI has already revolutionised triage medicine! Today i collapsed in my office. Ongoing issues after falling through a roof and onto a concrete slab recently. Serendipitously my wife was there to witness it and assist me to the ground. In seconds, we had an LLM triaging me and moving through a differential diagnosis. Ruled out an intracranial bleed within the first 60 sec (key concern after my head trauma) and quickly moved to stabilising me. Within 60 minutes we had full resolution, a working treatment and guidance on management through the night. Contrast that with booking a doctor, dragging myself there etc. Or calling an ambulance (which took over 2 hrs when I broke my neck). I've relied on LLM directed and user assisted medical triage countless times and it has outperformed doctors (incorrect medications given, their slow response times, their inability to continuously monitor over hours as symptoms evolve). I grew up in medicine. I employed doctors and specialists. I had whatever script or consult I needed, on tap. But AI has been the true unlock. And it's accessible to everyone!

@discernableco That's shale oil. If this war drags on, at $150/barrel, it might be worth getting it out of the ground. Before then, it's only use is to get retards to say "Look at all this oil" on Twitter.

Did you know that Australia is sitting on 43 years of fuel security in those orange basins on the map? 17.5 billion barrels of recoverable oil confirmed in the 2013 EIA report (US Energy Information Administration). We're importing 90% of our fuel while this goldmine sits locked away thanks to decades of political betrayal by impotent Liberal and Labor governments. Mining our own fuel will deliver similar or slightly cheaper(!) pump prices than what we're used to throughout 2025 It would take 8–15+ years but hey, that's exactly why we should've started yesterday. Will the current fuel crisis finally wake us up to ditch all the green virtue signaling, if only for our own survival? As a huge Tesla fan (and ex-employee) who loves the idea of electrifying everything, I say we need to: 🇦🇺⛽️ DRILL BABY DRILL ⛽️🇦🇺

The 'Aussie spirit' is back and I'm disgusted. Just like in covid, Australians have taken to social media to shame one another. This time, for filling any sort of container with fuel. God forbid it's me, a farmer, filling my 1,000L portable tank on the ute. That fuel runs pumps that keep my livestock alive. Machines that lift trees off buildings. Excavators that bury terminally sick horses and cattle. This is what we are primarily - a nation of sheep who don't need government or authority to police us...we do it to one another with a self-righteousness that actually should be ashamed of. Where my real crew at? The bold and the free, self aware enough to stop and think before tearing down our neighbours?

@MickamiousG Yeah it would spin off mostly petrol. But could also be mixed with imported heavy crude for diesel

@discernableco Yes, did you also know the oil in question is not really ideal for Diesel or Jet Fuel? We make 60% of our own Petrol, but all our diesel/jet fuel is basically imported - We don't have good quality oil (Heavy crude) for it.

Millennials are the elite generation because they cranked out 12-page essays the night before they were due. No ChatGPT. No Claude. Just lo-fi beats playing in the background, Black coffee at midnight, footnotes that were somehow correct, and pure delusion. Grade was an A minus. Period.

@TheLaurenChen You are correct. I was obese (150kg/330lbs) and thought I didn't eat much. Thermodynamically it is impossible. I'm now 90kg/198lbs and surprise surprise...it was the calories.

At one point in college, I had an obese roommate. After a few weeks, she complained about how lucky I was to be thin, since I ate more than her. The thing is, however, that I absolutely did not eat more than her, in terms of calories or just amount of food. She put ranch on everything. 600 calorie drinks. Endless snacking. Maybe my plate was more full than hers at dinner, but it was obvious tp everyone but her that she was consuming more throughout the day. I'm sorry, but after multiple instances of this happening with other overweight people, I just don't trust when someone heavy insists they're in caloric deficit. Maybe some people lose weight faster than others. For sure. But it's simple science that if calories out exceed calories in, you WILL lose weight.
Hockey Farmer🥶🏴‍☠️🇹🇹@grfarmgoat

@anymanfitness I ate 1200 for 44 days straight. Measured and weighed everything. I gained weight. I wish was I kidding.

@discernableco Screw shaming of “panic buying”, the government wouldn’t be doing it if they actually took responsibility for not having the 90 days supply they should. People must do what they must to mitigate risk.

Being hospitalised gave me lots of spare time to continue writing my Identity Manifesto and catch up on paperwork. I'm back home and the lucid hours each day are short but delicious while I consume super illegal milk that somehow appeared. The micro nutrient profile is incredible. Along with bone broth, I'm repairing well and looking forward to being physical again soon. Health and physical capability truly is the greatest wealth of all. Falling through a roof, combined with my recent diagnosis, has been difficult. But I'm not dying, and there are medical treatments that whilst scary, might make me stronger than I've ever been. No matter what I do though, I unfortunately need to be monitored closely for the rest of my life. Through it all, I still think #ItsaGoodDay

As an Atheist, I offer no apology, no grovel, no limp-wristed mea culpa for the Crusades. Quite the fucking opposite. We didn’t go far enough. We barely scratched the surface of that medieval death cult before it slithered back into the shadows, licking its wounds and plotting its next parasitic conquest. And every spineless Westerner today who clutches pearls about “imperialism” or “colonialism” is just a psychological masochist, high on the opium of guilt, begging to be castrated by the very ideology that has dreamed of our extinction since the 7th century. Let’s strip the sentimental bullshit and stare into the abyss with unflinching precision. Before any knight ever took the cross in 1095, the Islamic juggernaut had already devoured the Christian heartlands of the Middle East and North Africa in a blitzkrieg of fire and sword...Byzantium bleeding out, Alexandria’s library ashes, Spain falling in a single generation after 711. Charles Martel’s hammer at Tours in 732 wasn’t some quaint skirmish; it was the fucking line in the sand where rational Europe said “no more” to the caliphate’s vision of universal submission. The Crusades were the desperate, belated counterstrike...not unprovoked aggression, but existential recoil against a supremacist theology that divides the world into Dar al-Islam...the house of slavery...and Dar al-Harb...the house of perpetual war. Philosophy 101, you cowards: this isn’t “Abrahamic cousins” nonsense; it’s Hobbesian war of all against all, where tolerance meets the intolerant and dies whimpering. We failed because we stopped short. Jerusalem retaken? Fleeting. Constantinople? Lost forever in 1453 to the same Ottoman machine that would later hammer at Vienna’s gates in 1683...only Sobieski’s winged hussars and raw European will turning the tide at the last possible breath. The psychology here is lethal and eternal: Islam’s doctrine weaponizes the believer’s psyche into a death-cult automaton, promising paradise for butchery, while the West’s post-Enlightenment mind...drunk on Nietzsche’s slave morality inverted...now flagellates itself for daring to survive. We internalized the enemy’s narrative, convinced ourselves the Crusaders were the villains, and now watch mosques sprout like tumors in our cities while apologists scream “Islamophobia” at the mirror. Profound, isn’t it? The same civilization that birthed Locke’s tolerance, Hume’s skepticism, and Darwin’s merciless truth now kneels before a 1,400-year-old blueprint for domination because admitting the threat would bruise its fragile, secular ego. We didn’t go far enough. We left the roots intact...Koran, Hadith, the whole supremacist architecture...seething in the soil, ready to sprout again under every migration wave and demographic Trojan horse. Next time the pendulum swings...and history’s dialectic demands it will..:the eradication must be total, ideological, scorched-earth. Burn the books, salt the earth of the mindset, leave no theological stone unturned. Civilizations don’t negotiate with memetic cancers; they excise them or perish in the dar al-Harb they refused to end. This isn’t hate. This is the profound, venomous love of a free mind for its own fucking survival. We apologize for nothing. And if the West finally grows a spine, it won’t be in the name of any god...it’ll be in the name of reason that refuses to be enslaved again. End of sermon. The hammer waits. 🗡️💀🗡️
BraveHeart™@Braveheart_USA

As a Westerner, I’d like to apologize for The Crusades. We clearly didn't go far enough.

I had a devastating medical consultation today and Im not sure how to process it. For now, I cant believe what derelict doctors we have in this country, and from the National Institute for Integrative Medicine no less. What a rubbish, negligent organisation. I should resurrect my medical practice because the state of medicine in this country is disgusting.
