…survived into the modern period especially in Munster. The only examples of early-modern ogam graffiti in Ireland are scratched into the chapel wall of 14ᵗʰ-century Barryscourt Castle in Co. Cork. The 1st graffito is reasonably well preserved, but defies all interpretation.
