@jmwooldridge As someone who learned Stata 1st through the AEASP and uses R now, I don’t think it’s a disservice. Once you pick up one language it’s easier to learn another. If they’re going to a RAship or predoc then they need to know some Stata. Learning R or Python after becomes easier too.

If I encourage undergraduates to use Stata rather than R, can I be found guilty of contributing to the delinquency of young adults?

There needs to be a mandatory class in high school on money and banking. The best course I took in college was Money and Banking which focused heavily on monetary policy, the Fed, recession reactions, and of course inflation. This needs to be knowledge everyone has.

All I want in life is to buy a house and be an urban farmer. I just want to black, resourceful and surrounded by abundance ☺️

Rage of the day: UC System is exempt from specific CA labor code, specifically when it comes to paying out workers on their last day. No system should have the ability to ignore labor laws.
