I used to work in a comic shop when The Matrix first released. As a promo one day like 20 people dressed as Agent Smith walked in and just stood there silently around the shop before leaving scared the hell out of me lol i still think about it

@rasenburst @Stealth40k I think he means more about the effort vs the content specifically. The thing is Nintendo knows they have time - MK8 is a decade old and still a top seller. I would argue they barely needed the DLC course packs (though it lightly sweetened the NSO deal and numbers)

Mario Kart World is already a very different (and better) game from when it launched. The free updates have mostly all hit the mark. I think that was important before Nintendo rolls out new characters/stages, which I think is going to happen, it just won't be free.
