@FahaAnthony @JackRea90306907 Hadley, a shooting guard, is still playing PF. Other similarities from last year, a three point specialist guard is playing SF, and our center(s) is mediocre and not physical. We have no interior defensive threat and we never deviate from man to man.

Kelsey also needs to quit burning scholarships on redshirt players and get guys that can contribute out of the gate instead.

@JustinSoforo @anteason77 No one has come close to beating them by 40. They only lost to Clemson by 5 and just beat Georgia tech (who had a close game with Duke) by 20+. This is what a good team should do to a bad team and without Mikel and Rooths, I’d say it’s a great result.

@anteason77 Oh calm yourself down. If you don’t want to have a standard for this program, by all means. Pitt is straight cheeks. If we want this team to be able to win any postseason games we need to see better trends.

Louisville is currently losing the second half 29-27. Yeah, they whipped up on Pittsburgh in the first half. But this is a worrying trend by Pat Kelsey.

@KyleGoCards Post game has to become a factor. Cannot keep building teams with guards and non-physical front court. We need true 3s and 4s and stronger 5s.

Danny Hurley really struggled his first few seasons at UCONN. One offseason, he sat down and completely revamped his offense. He changed everything. Pat Kelsey is going to have to revamp everything. The defense isn’t good enough. The frontcourts here aren’t big and strong enough.

I’m gonna say it. I hate the offense. Threes and layups only. It’s stupid. Teams gameplan for it. Lots of space unless we’re on the perimeter or at the rim. 1-dimensional. I thought I’d love it. I don’t

@raashaan @LouisvilleMBB It seems to be an issue with people playing different roles. Mckneely is a guard, not a 3. Hadley played as a shooting guard until he came to Louisville and is playing as a 4. So our starting lineup is technically 4 guards and a center.

In the 3 losses for @LouisvilleMBB vs the big athletic teams (Arkansas, Tennessee, Duke) here were the stats for Isaac McKneely and J'Vonne Hadley: McKneely avg 7.3 PPG in 32 mins per game and a total +/- (-45) Hadley avg 7.6 PPG in 29 mins per game and a total +/- (-36) The two worst +/- on the whole team over those 3 games. The numbers back up the fact that a change is needed.

@mikesheehanky @TheCardConnect They’ve always said they don’t run plays unless the official touches the ball. Also, on defense the only game plan is “play man”.

@TheCardConnect Fair observation - Kelsey is not an “in game” coach yet. Duke made adjustments at half and we had NOTHING in the second to counter their game plan. Our half court offense is to just shoot 3s.

What are they being told to execute in the half court? There is zero plan.

This was Jon Scheyers second half adjustment. Drove into the lane every single trip down and Louisville had nobody who could answer. Back up defense that should slide over just side steps and swipes. Louisville makes it far too easy for scouting reports
