@mosemarara

my greatest fear is to be condemned by him who matters, our Lord and Saviour, as an unfaithful steward of his mysteries.

Do we even have an emergency police number in our country? Most of the time, when people face situations like this, we rely on shouting for neighbours to come and help.

@nickmangwana @VPHaritatos Whats the cost of land in urban areas, and how does it compare with disposable incomes? Are local authorities giving land legitimately? If not, why? What options are available to the poor zimbabwean, the ordinary law-abiding citizen who needs decent accommodation?

Charamba, we are not naïve. This is an unequivocal suggestion to the President to disregard the counsel of those around him. It is long overdue for you to have departed from your post, as your unwavering disservice to your superior has been all too evident. Despite his awareness of your character, he made the choice to retain you; yet, you have continued to exhibit an astonishing level of disrespect to him and your mandate. Your actions this time have clearly crossed a line. Who exactly are you attempting to serve? Remember that one cannot effectively serve the demands of two masters without failing both. It is better that you step down in good time and make way for the younger generation to rise and take over. While it is the prerogative of the President to dismiss anyone, it is still incumbent upon us to name and shame those who are selling out. We know many of them and soon we shall be be stating names as they are. There is a whole cartel that is leaking inside information for nefarious political agendas.

No @mawarirej, that’s not true.. Next Door in Botswana they use First-Past-The-Post… Same as in India… Same is in Britain… Even the USA’s Electoral College is based on First-Past-The-Post… The MPs that will elect the Zim President are not all based on the First Past The Post, only 210 are elected that way… Senators, Women’s Quota, & Youth Quota are all through proportional representation. So you are wrong in your characterisation of Zimbabwe’s electoral system… it’s better than most because it taps into both systems!
mawarire mbizvo jealousy@mawarirej

Your problem is you are tone deaf. Where parliament chooses a president, members of parliament are chosen through Proportional Representation, not First-Past-The-Post. My argument was for Zimbabwe to move away from First-Past-The-Post to full-time Proportional Representation. Don't cherry pick what you want. In SA, where you are hiding, MPs who choose the president are elected through PR. The proposed changes in CAB3 are targeted at shielding ED from an electorate that never wanted him. It is not a popular policy shift but a contrived move to save an unelectable leader. If there is any thing "individual", it is CAB3.

This is a huge disgrace from @capsunitedfczw fans. The owner of Caps United is a ZANU-PF member and an honorable Member of Parliament. Seeing such a song directed at fellow members, a football club owner, and one of the biggest football sponsors is unbecoming. Madzibaba Chivhayo @wicknellchivayo has a long history of sponsoring football in Zimbabwe, including even the national team. Who still remembers Pasuwa receiving a Toyota Hilux from Madzibaba? Honorable Scott Sakupwanya has changed the face of football in Zimbabwe, which has now attracted so much attention from multinational companies to invest in our local football. His company, Betterbrands, is sponsoring other football teams across the country. I hope the President of Caps United, Cde Farai Jere, and Caps United management will issue a statement against unwarranted attacks on his colleagues from his team's supporters.

WATCH | During a match at Rufaro Stadium today between Caps United FC and Dynamos FC, supporters of Caps United FC were recorded singing a chant with lyrics referring to two individuals they described as “thieves”, naming Wicknell Chivayo and Scott Sakupwanya. The fans could be clearly heard singing in Shona: “Mbavha mbiri chete dzatakavenga, Chivhayo naScott…” 🎥Soccer24

Why should professionals live on donations? You can't see how denigrating it is to their profession and the whole civil service? Rethinking Presidential Elections: Why an indirect system may serve Zimbabwe better By Glen Mpani I HAVE closely followed the debate around Constitution of Zimbabwe (Amendment No. 3) Bill with keen interest. Working in political campaigns, I have reflected deeply on what the Bill’s proposed changes mean, not just for governance, but for how campaigns are designed, executed, and won. That perspective has shaped my thinking in ways I did not initially anticipate. There is a fundamental question at the heart of Zimbabwe's political future: how should a president be chosen? With just a week before the Public Consultation for Constitution of Zimbabwe Amendment (No. 3) closes, we once again witness ED’s Visionary Leadership. Those with EYES TO SEE can see what President @edmnangagwa is doing. ZANU PF is a Revolutionary Party, a Grand Old Party formed in 1963 during the anti-colonial struggle. The founding fathers are an INDISPENSABLE part of ZANU PF & they have a role to play. President ED, in his wisdom, also realised that a GENERATIONAL TRANSITION is inevitable and it has to be MIDWIFED by the Revolutionaries who were part of ZANU PF in the Pre-Independence era. As the NEW GENERATION slowly takes over, the Old Guard will be there to provide guidance & moral support. This is the role of the ELDER’S COUNCIL where Cde Mutasa and others are members. If anything, President ED is SECURING THE FUTURE of ZANU PF by anchoring it on both the past & the present simultaneously. ZANU PF under ED has EVOLVED so much that the opposition in Zimbabwe lost relevance. At this point, anyone who wants to play a meaningful role in politics has no choice but to join ZANU PF…

Mugabe's wife was a Zanu-PF leader and Central Committee & Politburo member. As a top Zanu-PF official and Zanu-PF being the governing party, Politburo & Central Committee members are, by virtue of their party positions, senior to government officials. You can't compare her with Tungwarara's daughter, would you?

Malume, you might hate Mugabe but under his 37 years we never saw children of high ranking Zanu-PF officials abusing civil servants like Tungwarara's daughter did there. ED has taken away all the dignity around the office of the President. Show me any incident where Jonathan Moyo's children or Didymus Mutasa's or Mai Mujuru's, did what that little spoilt brat was doing.
Professor Sigabade iNdethi yaseMhlangeni@mtakagogoe

Nonsense…..this has always been a ZANU PF thing. During Mugabe’s time we saw worse things, because the people who are in power now were in power with Mugabe. Why are you trying so hard to revise ZANU PF’s history?
