People need to be allowed to make mistakes when learning endangered languages such as Scots and Gaelic if those languages are to stand a chance of being revived, writes Emma Grae✍️

@ScotNational "Tha mearachdan ceadaichte/Mistakes are allowed..." . The first rule of of any good Gaelic class or conversation group. Who speaks "perfect" English these days, anyway?😃😃

🌱 The Spring Equinox is here today. It feels like a good moment to reflect on where Belle Media began, from our early days with #Tigeropolis to the #Gaelic stories we’re sharing now, including #Paddington, Am Prionnsa Beag & Cù Giobach 🐾 Here’s to new chapters.

Don't forget to like posts by indie authors! It doesn't seem like much, but it helps with the algorithm and helps to support. It also helps the algorithm a LOT to bookmark, reply, repost, etc but it can be a lot 🙈.

I’m at the Scottish Parliament today for a roundtable with Tourette Scotland, sharing our family’s experience of navigating the education system with severe Tourette’s. The past week has shown exactly what happens when misinformation and a lack of awareness take hold, people living with Tourette’s become targets. With the right support, education and understanding, outcomes can be positive. But too many families are still forced to fight systems that would rather ignore the problem than fix it. That has to change for every child in Scotland and beyond.
