Sadaharu Oh hits his 800th career home run. He'd go on to hit 68 more before shocking everyone and retiring after the 1980 season. Why'd he retire? He had nothing left to prove, he was the only member of the 800 home run club, sat third on the all time hits list with 2786, and was the only Japanese member of the 2000 RBI club

I'm 42 years old and this is the worst loss I've experienced as a sports fan. Just did everything wrong in the last 5 minutes. Brutal.
