Amazon is worth $2 trillion. But it didn't deign to pay the millions of dollars it racked up in unpaid fines as its’ trucks illegally polluted our air and forced New Yorkers to breathe in their exhaust.
We collected every dollar they owe the people of this city — and will continue to hold them accountable. In New York, corporations are held to the same standard as everyone else.
No company — no matter how large or powerful — is above the law.

Destiny 2@DestinyTheGame

Read the full blog at bung.ie/d2_may_21_2026 For almost twelve years, we have had the joy and honor to explore the Destiny universe with you all. Through all the ups and downs, surprises and triumphs, building Destiny alongside our players has been a monumental privilege. While our love for Destiny 2 has not changed, it has become clear that after The Final Shape, we have reached the time for our shared worlds, and Destiny, to live beyond Destiny 2. As our focus turns towards a new beginning for Bungie, we will begin work incubating our next games. To that end, on June 9, 2026, we will release the final live-service content update for Destiny 2 to begin that new journey as a studio. Though active development may be concluding, we will ensure that Destiny 2 remains playable, just as the original Destiny is today. Many changes in this final update will aim to ensure that Destiny 2 is a welcoming place for players to return to. We’re proud of Destiny 2, the places it took us, and the legacy it has created. Because of you all, our universe is vast, built on years of shared stories, adventures, and victories. From the Cosmodrome to the Pale Heart to the Lawless Frontier, we have forged life-long memories and friendships with you all. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who made that journey with us. From the deepest part of our hearts, thank you, and we'll see you in the stars.

@MarkEvansAus @raidbossreject making the accurate observation that marathon was clearly a passion project and not intended to be a primary moneymaker is not saying that it was a smart decision to try and make marathon the only source of income lol. of course you either know this and are bad faith or just dumb

@raidbossreject So they shut down an established game and ported resources over to a new game, now their ONLY source of income, and that game isn’t meant to be a primary money maker? Either grow up, or Bungie are equally as retarded as you.

@ProgressiveVic I would agree with this but the only point capitalism really started failing Destiny is when it started becoming less and less artful lol

@GermanErwachen @FaiqYasen Yes it was lol, you were extremely upset about the capeshit and then when people pointed out it’s capeshit you pretended to be above it all as if you weren’t just getting upset about it.

@Gzalzi @iTzNikeBro @Wario64 "i have never heard anyone talk about Destiny outside of bungie fans" yeah no shit lmfao, do you actually think this is an observation? destiny used to consisently be in the top 10 on the steam charts for years and that was well after its peak in popularity, ofc d3 would do well

Bloomberg: Bungie planning significant layoffs following end of Destiny 2 development. Destiny 3 is not in active production. Bungie staff are pitching and prototyping new projects, including in the Destiny franchise, but none have been greenlit bloomberg.com/news/articles/…

@Wario64 would be fine if they ended support for d2 and had marathon as a small side thing while they worked on d3 but obviously that's a smart decision, and smart decisions are impossible for people in the gaming industry to make lol
