dm for motion design projects 🎬

Editors planning to drop out - read this.👇
I get DMs every day:
“Should I skip college and go all-in on editing?”
Here’s the truth:
You don’t have to choose.
Do both.
• Go to college ->keep your family at peace
• Build your editing skills -> every single day
• Take clients -> learn, earn, grow
Because chasing work while everyone around you doubts you?
That pressure will break you.
I’ve felt it. Anxiety is real.i still can't sleep at night.
The smart move isn’t rebellion - it’s balance.
There are editors out here
handling classes + clients
and still winning.
Prove to yourself you can handle both.
No excuses. Stay disciplined.
You can now enable Claude to use your computer to complete tasks.
It opens your apps, navigates your browser, fills in spreadsheets—anything you'd do sitting at your desk.

Apple spent $0 explaining what the iPhone does in their first ad.
They just showed someone using it and made you want that life.
That’s motion design. That’s what your SaaS video should be doing.
Weeks of no orders. No messages. Nothing.
Then $48 hit. August 2025.
I didn’t celebrate. I went back to work.
$48 again. September 2025.
The first dollar isn’t about money. It’s proof that a stranger looked at your work and said “I’ll pay for that.”
Once that happens, something shifts.
The craft doesn’t change. You just stop doubting it.
Breaking: Apple acquires MKBHD......... plugin 😅
motionvfx.com/collections/mk…
(But for real, I'm fascinated by this development as a longtime mVFX plugin user - we can assume this will be good for Final Cut in the next few years, and they'll probably pull support for DaVinci Resolve)
Quick workflow hack in After Effects:

Stop animating everything at the same speed in After Effects.
Real motion has:
• acceleration
• overshoot
• settling
Static timing = amateur animation.
