What started as an effort many years ago to child-proof gas cans turned into an adult-proofing model for millions of Americans who feel that these cans are virtually impossible to use. The first step (BETTER VENTING): The Trump EPA clarified to manufacturers last summer that gas cans can have self-closing vents that restore smoother fuel flow. The next, bigger step (NOZZLE DESIGN): To have the Consumer Product Safety Commission fix the ABSURDLY designed nozzle, Congress will need to pass legislation to change federal law. It shouldn’t take 3 hands and 5 minutes to pour gas out of a gas can!

I was told yesterday by my county commissioner that nothing can be done to prevent data centers because it’s a property rights issue. WE the People have property rights too. The right to not have our property values decimated and rendered unable to sell and move away from this crap, right to clean water, and right to live in peace without light & noise pollution and the right to keep out communities from being destroyed. Florida has 100 data centers. That is enough. The US surpasses every other country in the world with thousands of data centers with Germany in second place with only 500.

I’m millennia, not a boomer, but my wife and I lived very frugally for the first couple of years of our marriage while we paid off our debt and saved up money. If you wanted to you would. Instead, you sit online and complain about not being able to afford anything while doing absolutely nothing to fix it.

@RussCote What protein? I just bought $2500 worth of beef. Eating rice beans and chicken quarters(pretty much the only way you're getting to the $150/month thing) is absolute poverty rations. You guys can't see the nonsense you're posting.

THIS is why Gen Z and below says you can’t “feed” 4 people for $150 btw. It has nothing to do with whether you actually can or not (you absolutely can) and everything to do with the food CHOICES they want to make, which inevitably doesn’t include eating foods for sustenance. They want prepared, door dashed shit not rice and beans and protein.
