Como ya lo he dicho, la cultura es uno de nuestros grandes cohesionadores sociales. Mi llamado es a que sigamos trabajando juntos para recuperar la conversación y el rumbo del sector cultural, encaminar los procesos construidos por años y ponernos de acuerdo en lo fundamental. En este proceso la cultura ciudadana es determinante. Necesitamos regresar a los valores, recuperar la confianza en la ciudad, en nuestras instituciones y en la gente que habita nuestro territorio. Tenemos un enfoque ambicioso y transversal en nuestro Plan de Desarrollo, desde el cuidado de nuestros espacios y equipamientos públicos, hasta la convivencia con nuestros vecinos, amigos y familiares. Medellín somos todos. Para la gran tarea de articular y seguir la conversación y la estabilidad del sector he designado a Santiago Silva @santiagosilvaj como Secretario de Cultura. Un hombre disciplinado, con experiencia de más de 10 años en investigación, innovación social y cultura. Lideró la formulación de la Política Pública de Cultura Ciudadana de Medellín; el desarrollo del programa Ciudadanos Como Vos, una de las mayores apuestas de cultura ciudadana que hemos tenido en la ciudad; la plataforma de diálogo social Tenemos que Hablar Colombia; y el Área de Cultura de la Escuela de Artes y Humanidades de la Universidad EAFIT. A trabajar muy duro en los grandes retos que tenemos, ¡qué alegría contar con vos, Santiago!

Cheistha Kochar worked with me on the #LIFE programme in @NITIAayog She was in the #Nudge unit and had gone to do her Ph.D in behavioural science at #LSE Passed away in a terrible traffic incident while cycling in London. She was bright, brilliant & brave and always full of life. Gone away too early. RIP.
