Here is a simple truth that no one wants to accept: Scottie Scheffler won the Travelers while ranking 9th in Strokes Gained: Approach. It was a solid performance and he’s of course an amazing all around player. But the undeniable truth is that the PGA Tour is, at the moment, not as rich with high end talent as it has been in the past. Too many great players on Tour aren’t playing great. 2 of the 4 most talented players in the world play on LIV, as well as 15 or so others who are very good. I’m not a “LIV Bot” nor a “PGAT Stan”. My only allegiance lies with the truth. Sorry if that pushes your buttons.
